Recently I have been getting a lot of bad luck, I feel depressed and fatigue is setting in. I have Aspergers Syndrome (autism). So people know I'm intelligent, but with this comes a curse and that is what the "bad luck" thing is about. Honestly I feel like crying. Almost suicidal due the way people treat me. On top of this I have an embarrassing addiction that I can't get rid of because people think of it as "normal" but I hate it.

So in conclusion is God punishing me for this addiction? And my intelligence is not at its full potential because of this and therefore I feel something writing inside of me but can't let it free. I suspect this is depression. It surfaced during the pre-addiction years...

Please help.

No matter how much I pray, I'm not given a sign. I used to get them but I feel I'm losing that sense of self-worth and faith nad security.

And to make things worse a girl who "mentally rejected" me throws things to my face like touching my friends face...

No. I don't think so. Maybe you are punishing your self. Also you are feeling depressed so everything probably feels a lot worse. It sounds difficult but if you start to change your thinking and think more positively about things, that will help. Maybe you should talk to your Doctor and a therapist about your depression.

I have anxiety and depression and have been trying an alternative therapy called Emotional Freedom Technique and it has really worked for me and helped me a lot. Since using it I have been feeling a lot better. It's very good at getting rid of all kinds of negative emotions and dealing with all kinds of issues quickly. It does sound bizarre but does work. Might be something that can help you.

I don't believe God is punishing you. The feelings you are experiencing though are meant to alert you a life lesson...just like a symptom can link to an full blown illness. I don't have Aspergers, so I don't know how that is or if you will be prone to depression. You should see a Dr. or therapist. Medication or talk therapy may help you discover what is at the root of your malaise.

Sometimes too, the signs God gives us are right under our noses and so we miss them all together. Take another look around you and see if you can't find the message. Blessings and Peace.

I think part of the problem is that you've gotten yourself stuck in a rut being depressed about being stuck in a rut. Not only can it be upsetting, when combined with the various other aspects of trying to get by in what we laughably call the world, but it also magnifies existing feelings of lonliness.

The fact is, it's not your fault. It's not even a sign of something wrong with you yourself. The way you feel right now is a symptom of society's ills. It is the pain and isolation that comes from being made to feel outcast. People collectively don't know how to relate to you because they shallowly think of you as someone that is one of the "others" in human society.

This is a problem of which you have been made a victim, not of which you are the cause. But at the same time, the world is not itself your enemy, and nor is everyone else in it. This world is just sick; suffering from series of diseases of selfish ambition and segregational identity, among many others. The suffering that you, I and many others endure is a symptom of this disease.

As a result, it needs us to keep fighting, because we are at the front lines of the battle to overcome and contain this sickness. It is those that are repressed and shunned, those that feel isolated and lonely, those in whom depression has the deepest hold, that are best placed to stand up and let the world know about the problems it is facing. Because if we don't speak, then those uncountable masses who feel just as we do will have no voice and nowhere to turn but submission, and if that happens then the battles we fight now will have been in vain!

So don't let depression get on top of you. Fight it back, join in to help out those who are fighting it just as you are, and let everyone know that what you are fighting against is something that we all need to fight too!

You never mentioned what this "addiction" is. If it is a sinful thing, then perhaps God is not answering you because you are not trying to get it out of your life and your "bad luck" is a result of your sin, not necessarily God punishing you. If it is not a sinful act, then perhaps you are subconsciously punishing yourself because you think you should be strong enough to conquer it, but you can't. As far as your depression goes, I struggled with it for years as well. It sometimes takes more than hope to get over these things. Have you spoken to a doctor about your feelings? Please do not take your own life. Remember, Christ was despised by others, those that He came to save. I would like to suggest that you read Philippians 3:4-13. God bless and I will keep you in my prayers.

I am sorry to hear about your autism. I know it happens to very intelligent people which puzzles me at to why you are going along with this religion con. Pray only serves to help you if you feel it is helping. There is nobody "up there" listening to you so if it no longer satisfying you give it up. You need faith badly but not faith in some imaginary deity you need faith in yourself. Only you are punishing you for no reason. None of us are perfect so despite your autism you are a good as anybody else and better that most so decided what YOU want to do hold you head up high and go for it.

I would not be looking for a sign beloved...I would be asking God for deliverance from the things that bind you. Has anyone ever told you that you are 'fearfully and wonderfully made'? exactly the way you are? In the bible the disciples asked Jesus about a man who was blind, saying 'is he this way because his parents sinned? And Jesus answered...
"he was born blind so that the works of God might be displayed in him." (John. 9:1-4)

So the first step in casting off this depression...this mental trick of the enemy that you have bad luck... is to know that God is doing a work thru you beloved...even if you cant understand the fruit of it right now. You are not cursed and God will do awesome things through you like He did through Moses and David and Elijah and Stephen.....

Secondly, you have been using your faith to pray...but you are being assaulted by the enemy in too many ways to not have on your armor. Do you know what the Armor of God is? The most common place of attack by the enemy is in our minds. Your addiction is a bondage that began in your mind. The feeling of losing self worth and faith is an attack on your mind. This girl who is 'mentally' rejecting you...is an assault on your mind...amen? So how do you fight that? You take up the shield of Faith brethren. Ephesians 6:16 Its with that shield of Faith that you will be able to quench (destroy) all the fiery darts (negative thoughts, attacks) of the wicked one. The girl who is hurting you is not the devil...she is being used by the devil..to try and destroy your faith.

I encourage you, more than just praying to really begin to tap into your faith. To believe God for all His promises to you. To speak those things that be not, as though they were. To walk in victory, though the devil would have you think you are defeated. What is in you..that depression..ask God to remove it and fill you with the HOly Spirit. Ask Him to pour it out on you...renew your mind and your heart. Cast off every lie the devil has ever told you...about your condition or your intelligence or your abilities beloved. You are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus..able to do all things through HIm who strengthens you!

I promise you that as you surrender to Him...He will give you power that defies what man says about you. He will give you a love that exceeds any that girl could have ever given. He will heal your mind, your body and your spirit.

Seek Him beloved.

I agree with sod it. I don't think God is punishing you for anything. None of us are made perfect. We all have flaws, things we don't like about ourselves. That's what makes us all different and unique. Don't listen to stupid people or some jerk of a girl that is using you to build her own ego. Keep praying and God will show you what you are praying for. He loves you even with your addiction. Don't beat yourself up over it. When the time is right, He will help you. One step at a time. Love and peace to you.

Gosh belief in god has a nasty way of making people feel inadequate, guilty and answerable.Ditch the faith and find yourself.God, if you like is not punishing you at all.You are upset for things that seem to be beyond your control.Don't bother talking to a god talk to someone who can support and understand you.
