Do you think that you can do good works like being a chef, carpenter, janitor, doctor, or lawyer is going to be enough to get you into heaven? What are you going to tell Saint Peter to get you into heaven? A sacrifice had to be made for our sins before God could accept us back, So He provided His own Son, Jesus Christ , to die in our place, and in fact we are already dead, All we have to do is call upon the name of Jesus and We Shall Be Saved, and we only have this life to do so. Think over these things? What are you going to say?

1. Humanity nailed Christ to the cross, as Christians we recognize as humans we are all capable of such godlessness
2. Forgiveness is the only thing that keeps us in relationship with a gracious God.
3. No one is perfect except Christ, you cannot learn to be perfect, you can only live as Christ would have us live. We all sin and come short of the glory of God.
4. He can do all things but He gave us the freedom of choice. We choose to live the way we do.
Why not ask Him, in your own words?

First u need a 101 lesson on the bible. lol. I'm sorry. Well I was just saying think&research before u ask... oops sorry.
The sacrifice of Jesus is the righteousness part of God. God loves the world and he wants to save the people, therefore a sacrifice for our sin must be made. Jesus's sacrifice fulfilled God's righteousness on our sins, therefore allowed us to be saved (God's Love).
Why Jesus? because he is the only person who is without sin. he is pure and holy.

by the way, it was not the nails that kept Jesus on the Cross, He could have come down on His own, or all the angels could have saved Him- it was HIS LOVE for us that kept Him there. Are you saying that without Christ you can be sinless? I guess you really have not read the Bible because it is very clear, in many places that we cannot.
ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALLEN SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD, AND THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH, BUT THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. - there are just 2 of them. You say that He can do all things- yes, He can, He chose to send His Son into the world to die on the cross, so that we can become like Him- our righteousness is as filthy rags to Him- Without Christ, we die in our sins- praise God He loved us enough to give HIMSELF FOR US. We are clothed with His righteousness after we are saved so that we can become more and more like him. No matter how good you will try to be, it never is good enough. SORRY!!

while the first part was incorrect, I'll focus on the second part which is seeking to live holy. You are absolutely correct. Jesus' sacrifice is not to be taken lightly. We are to yield our members every single day..in an attempt to live righteous in His eyes. If only because you realize..thats what you should do and its the greatest daily expression of thanks you can show Christ..to emulate His walk.
We cannot be perfect..but we can die 'pressing towards that high calling'. When I do though...will you call me 'holier than thou'? because there are certainly some quick to call me a hypocrite if I dont.

I wasn't aware that anyone was doing this...(nailing Him to the cross again and again and again..over and over etc....) to my understanding, this has been taken care of..and the eternal blood of Christ is there to wash away any and all sins...without going through the process again....but, of course...i could be wrong!?!....i could have mistaken the entire gospel message in the bible...? i could have been wrong in understanding he is risen into the heavens, and cannot be "touched by death any longer?" among othere things...i could be..?!? what do the rest of you think? :)

Jesus was nailed to the cross, not god. I believe that it was Jesus destiny. To show us how much he loved us, God gave his son for our sins. TO SHOW US!!! We need things to be shown to us, obvioulsy. It was meant to happen, for us all to see that if our God would give up his son for us, then we should be worthy of that death. or you can just choose not to believe. We do have free will.

Before I was born, He willingly died on the cross for my sins and yours.
I am sorry you are so confused about the Bible.
If you really want help understanding it, instead of mocking it, let me know.

He made more sacrifices in those 18 hours of being crucified than all the people in the history of suffering.
Even those who were in concentration camps and who suffered over many years while being tortured or cut into pieces.....
All other peoples suffering is all fake compared to HIS.

Part of accepting Jesus is to refrain from doing the things that put Him on the cross.
"Forgive us our debts" and "lead us not into temptation" go together.
