I'm looking for evidence which counter-argues the popular "Jesus Christ never actually existed" theory. By the way, his name was Yeshuah ben David was it not?

it is only when i find in solitude, when i find freedom in knowing that my actions go unnoticed , do i believe that i am forsaken , for in a childs mind a spark of hope remains , but now i see the truth , iam forsaken , i know it but so many others have no clue , to question , they believe in nothingness ,emptiness , i believe in me because i know that god gives no quarter

I'm gonna make it plain and simple.

Evolution is purely and simply a BELIEF,
nothing more.

Same with Religion.

SO,
why do schools, especially biology teachers,
teach evolution, not religion,
when explaining things it explains in the Bible!

...like how all the races came about?

Why not give the answer from the Evolution standpoint and Biblical standpoint?

I was on the website for American Athiests and found out what they believe in or don't believe in but can't find out how they believe man got on this earth. I am a believer in God so I know what the Christian explanation is, what about those who don't believe. Serious answers only please!

Why dont athesists beleive in god?
What do you lose if you beleive in god?
Im confused.....

If a beleiver dies and there is no heaven then no one wins but if there is a heaven the beleiver goes to heaven while the non beleiver goes to hell?
Then why dont the atheisits convert to chrisitanity? you dont lose anything from it?

I've prayed many times for an answer to a question I've had.. and I got the same answer so many times.. but I wonder if i heard it wrong. Because I know the devil can "play" God and even trick us with bible verses.. which is what my answer was always in the form of.
So what do you think?

continue to report RESOLVED questions in an account that has already been suspended?

what's the point people? Overkill??
Yes I'm talking to you guys... the cowardly ones who seem to be trolling around messing with these good people here in R&S and elsewhere.

I'm sick of it. It's stupid, cowardly and wasteful.

are you happy that you've terrorized the place?
are you satisfied that you've rid your precious forum with your pitiful vigilatism?

go ahead and report the porn, report the rascism and the blatant insults if you want... but for the love of all that is sane - leave the rest alone.

geez - NOW look what you've done, you've gone and got me all riled like...

Do you believe in "imprecatory prayer" which is praying for someone's misfortune or for their death ? Is there a biblical basis for or against this ?

In the article linked below a Southern Baptist pastor asked his followers to pray for the deaths of two people.

quote from article
"Wiley S. Drake, a Buena Park pastor and a former national leader of the Southern Baptist Convention, called on his followers to pray for the deaths of two leaders of Americans United for Separation of Church and State.

The request was in response to the liberal group's urging the IRS on Tuesday to investigate Drake's church's nonprofit status because Drake endorsed former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee for president on church letterhead and during a church-affiliated Internet radio show.

Drake said Wednesday he was "simply doing what God told me to do" by targeting Americans United officials Joe Conn and Jeremy Leaming, whom he calls the "enemies of God."

Does God approve of these types of prayers ?

Ok, I’m still reading Exodus.. and God is saying stuff that i feel makes him to be spoilt, jealous, and egotistical! Ok, maybe he did create us.. and if some did not want to follow him why did he then make us so independent! I could go on so much more! but every time i pick up the bible in my toilet and have a read I feel rather argumentative about it ><;

I'm - Sunshine with patchy fog: Everything's coming up roses--most of the time. Your outlook is optimistic, but you tend to think more positively in the short term rather than in the long run. You see the good side of the present moment but don't necessarily incorporate that into your overall attitude.

I know I do.I feel embarrassed because in my mind I am thinking, "Oh no.Please stop!".But I can't very well say 'shut up' to someone who speaks with such certainty in their voice and so I am left feeling embarrassed at how I have been put on the spot and made to feel uncomfortable listening to what sounds like delusional dribble.Am I the only one who feels this way?

I've heard the usual rationalizations about Jesus' statement that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven: that the 'eye of a needle' is some gate in a wall and that rich people can indeed go through if they humble themselves, etc., etc.

However, what about the Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus? Jesus said NOTHING about the Rich Man's beliefs, just that he callously ignored poor Lazarus starving outside and ended up in Hell. Doesn't this strongly imply that 'rich Christian' is an oxymoron?

How about 'but woe unto ye rich' in the Sermon on the Mount or the statement 'ye cannot serve God and Mammon'?

Then there's James 5:1-6: "Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you..." What do you think of that?

You may pray silently by yourslf before class. You just can't make a big scene or get everyone to do it. I think that is fair and make sense to me. They claim we took God out of their schools. How did we do that? We just mad it fair for people? I live in the south so the Christians down here get pretty crazy... If we should bring prayer to the aztec Gods? The God and Goddes? Ra or Isis? Your God doesn't have anymore proof either!
