is it because I am still hurting over my fiance's death and my anger keeping me from feeling his presence? or something else?

I'm sorry for your loss.
Don't be mad at me, but I had the same problem and I realized god doesn't exist.
I'm happier now, being a Christian was scary.

i don't believe so. God is not a feeling. He is spirit. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship The Father In Spirit and In Truth: for The Father seeketh such to worship Him. Jhn.4:23~~~
So, when you can't feel God.. you have to remember what He has said in the bible. Like He would never leave you or forsake you...Nothing is wrong with you feeling hurt over the loss of your fiance...My prayers are with you...And nothing is even wrong with you being angry. the bible says it's ok to be angry just don't sin in your anger... God loves you more than you could ever imagine. And he knows that you are just going through a tough time right now. But, I promise you He is standing there with open arms waiting on you to cast all your cares on Him.....God bless you.

Maybe instead of praying you try to meditate then you questions will be answered and only then
You must feel the presence of someone around you a chill on your left hand side or does the hair on your arm stand up ?
That is his presence
Do you dream of him he may come to you in a dream ?
Do you have memories of you and him together flood through your mind ? this is him giving you those memories to cheer you up think of the good times not the bad time when he past over

God is still with you, you just have so much hurt that you are not letting yourself feel him.
Sometimes anger is good, it helps you work out your other feelings. It is normal to feel that.
Mourning takes a long time, even longer than a year, sometimes.
Just go on living day to day and it will keep getting better, though you may not notice it till one day you will just realize that you are feeling better.
Death of a loved one is so very painful.

It is your anger. Why are you angry? Because God took your fiance? That is pretty selfish. I'm not trying to 'beat you up' but you need to get over it and move on. There are a lot more important things in this world. Your life(and mine)are but a vapor in the scheme of things. I am sorry for your loss. So have a time for mourning(30 days at the most), then move on. Greater things than this have occurred to believers and non-believers alike.

God hears you, but sometimes we don't listen or hear because we have a busy life and a lot on our minds.
Try relaxing, concentrating on God as you pray, and expect an answer, you may not get one right off, so be patient, and open to all the ways He communicates...... speaks out loud, sends a messenger, Bible, telepathic is used a lot, music, so many ways as God's Wisdom is unlimited. I just talk to him, and sometimes he answers me right off like a conversation, like a friendship.... be open. Pray with all sincerity, heart felt prayers works best, faster.

You have allowed a stronghold in your mind through your anger ( I understand and I am very sorry my mother is dying too.) I used to feel a wall between me and God and I was Delivered through the laying of hands and have not felt that wall since.
I suggest seriuos prayer and fasting. Cry out to God, He will be there for you, I would put my life on that.
Know this always, that He loves you very much and I do too.

as long as you are holding on to that anger for his loss you will not be able to feel the Lords presence

Is there un-forgiveness? Forgive the situation, tell God that you are sorry. Seek Him. As you move closer to God He will move closer to you. I have found that God is always there.

Of your god, it seems when all is going good, it is because god made that good. But when something goes wrong, god didn't do it, it was either Satan, or man chose the wrong. It is sad, but it seems, that when the chips are down so to speak, the christian god can't be found. I am not condeming your god. Its a shame. I am sorry for your loss.
