regardless of the sins I committed? what about the victims of the consequences of my actions? those will be forgotten?

also, are you saying that Hitler is in Heaven too, in case he repented and acknowledge Jesus as his savior? what about the people he killed? where is justice for those people? would God turn a blind eye on what Hitler did in case Hitler repented? is that how justice will be served?

NOTE: this is a hypothetical question.

God always existed.

God created everything ranging from the univers down to the smallest atom.

Humans and angels are all creations of God and we consider God as our true father.

So why is it that God only elaborates Jesus as being His son?

I mean, God is not biased or unfair because God is perfect...

Then why declaring Jesus as His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON?

Is that not hysterical?

Are we all not son's of God, our creator?

I feel like Jesus is being upheld as the most special son here.

Is God actually biased or what?

My God, My God, why have You abandoned Me -- leaving Me helpless, forsaking and failing Me in My need?

My song "Dont Push Your Belief"

Here's her comment

"It's old testament versus new testament.
God grows up in the bible.
In the old testament, he's like a kid with a magnifying glass who's got an ant farm for his birthday. (dun dun DUN)
In the new testament, through the big J.C. he's like a wise, humanistic fellow.
Sorry, God"

I've asked this before, but no one had a real answer. I am very curious and I'm not sure myself.

There are days when I come on here and the bickering between sides is enough to make me sick. Wouldn't it be nice if we all followed a rule that our mothers told us when we were young.

"If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all"

If someone picks a fight, don't rise to the bait. It makes you a bigger, better person. It would be nice to squash this "Us v. Them" thing that's going on.

Who agrees?

I watched the show with the Phelps family and was so disgusted. I am a Christian, and can not believe there are people like the Phelps out there. In the bible it says that judging others is a sin, so they are basically doing nothing but sinning. Is it any of there business to judge what others do? What people do with their lives is completely their own business. And the comment about 9/11, I couldn't believe that came out of her mouth. "They were worthy of death", there were innocent children on that plane. If anyone should be doing some repenting it is the Phelps family. They say homosexuals should die? I am thinking it is probably a sin to wish that on someone. If she wants to judge others: We are all sinners, it is a sin to have sex for pleasure (she has 11 children). All we can do is be the best we can be.

The bible is twice as violent as anything you will see on cable TV. There's rape, genocide, baby killing....

Why are these stories being taught to children like they're a good thing?

I'm assuming that Noah, and the people he knew before the flood, could read and write. Can a society survive, without a link with the past, such as written history?

You can repent and go to heaven, but that doesn't stop you sinning again.
So therefore heaven will be full of the same sinning humans as were on earth.
What then, is so special about it?
Sorry about all the questions but one leads to another.

How do you feel about religion?

[Looking for answers that deal with personal view on religion as a whole, discussing how their religion works, and if they have no religion, what is their beliefs, etc.]

I don't appreciate religious-bashing, so please refrain from making inappropriate answers.

Im athiest/agnostic, but i want to read the bible so it can help me in literary studies. Many novels have allusion and references of the things in the bible. My english teacher once said knowing the bible(since he was raised catholic) helped him understand the allusions in college, while his college buddies were pretty much clueless. In many books i read, like Inherit the Wind or To Kill a Mockingbird, they have quotes from the King James Bible. Simon in "Lord of the Flies" was an allusion to Jesus's death. I didnt realize that until my friend told me...

But then there are so many versions, and every bible is so long, which should i read? I know many bibles are the same but just different wording and spelling, but im talking about the bibles that have subtle and sublime differences, possible by the author to make us interpret it differently or by their religions way....

List all the different versions of the bible too.

For Christian/Catholics - When Armageddon comes brought upon us by man, do you believe

-that God will save us?

or

-he will simply watch in anguish while we suffer?
[What I mean by this is that while he will try to help us he won't do most of the work for it was man who brought it upon themselves. In short - Do you believe that it has to be man that ends it?]

Your opinion is very well appreciated. Thank You. ^-^.

I'm coming across more and more Christians who say they don't actually find the Bible credible and then others who believe only some of what has been written.
Can you be a Christian and not believe what has been written in the Bible?
Strangely enough, I think NOT believing in the Bible and still being a Christian sounds more credible because it suggests that you “know” God in your heart rather than put your faith in a book which tells you what you are supposed to believe.
