Why don't they have Jesus on their temple instead of Moroni?

Well, I find it hard to believe than anyone who truly thinks they know a secret handshake you have to do to get into Heaven & won't share it with you unless you join their little click is a Christian. God gave His word, the Bible, to everyone. Everything we need to know how to find Him, how to accept Him, how to live for Him AND how to get to Heaven is right there.

The "angel Moroni as a messenger figurine" is on top of the temple symbolically trumpeting the good news of the restored gospel.

Making graven images of deity is something forbidden by the Bible and BoM. A figurine or statue *inside* of a place of worship is far less disrespectful than making our Lord and Savior into the equivalent of a hood ornament or garden gnome.
Moroni, a messenger, is not Heavenly Father or Jesus Christ, and he is far more appropriate in that position.

I was of the opinion that the Mormons here think the Bible is incomplete. This is why the Book of Mormon was needed.

Between repentance and salvation occurring from Adam to the end of the Millennial Reign, haven't we been given a complete plan of redemption?I've heard how the New Covenant fulfills the old, but I've never heard how Mormonism fulfills the New Covenant, no matter how many debates I've had.

Christians believe in Jesus Christ as lord, and that is the mormon belief. So yes. I believe that mormons do consider themselves christian and it's insulting to them to suggest otherwise. As for the angel on the temples, I thought I heard that was meant to signify the return of Jesus (always from the east). But I could be wrong about that.

No, they're not. They do not believe in the Holy Trinity or the Divinity of Jesus Christ. They teach Jesus was a created being like you and me...or the angels. Since they do not hold that Christ is God the Son and Messiah....they are not Christians.

They definately got way off base by adding to the Scriptures w/ all that Joseph Smith stuff. They take the focus off the reason for the Bible - Jesus.

Yes. The whole point of the religion is to find a different and more suitable path to Jesus. Hence the official name: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

A Christian is a person who believes that Christ is God, that he resurrected from the dead, and was born of a virgin. Mormons do not believe this.

No, they are NOT Christians. They like to call themselves Christians, but unless you believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ, you are not a Christian.
