2007-08-06 02:59:24 · 23 answers · asked by Lauren. 4

did Jews expect other peoples to "believe" in their God? Was there a special punishment reserved for "others?" Did Jews living outside of Israel expect Egyptians, Moabites, Assyrians, etc. to accept, or to "believe in," the God of Israel?

How were "others" living within Israel treated? Were they required to sacrifice to the God of Israel? Were they punished in any way for not paying homage to the God of Israel? Were "others" required to pay special taxes? Was there punishment for those who didn't keep the commandments? Was excommunication practiced? Would that mean that all non-Jews were expelled from Israel?

I understand that the Romans were tolerant of religious beliefs, but were iron fisted in the political arena. (Jesus would have known very well that he was treading on thin ice by claiming to be "king of the Jews.")

The spiritual dimension of this grisly "business" is its systematizing of ritual blood sacrifice to the god of child murder, Moloch, who we know of from the severe condemnations of him in the Old Testament (Lev 18:21, 20:2-5, 1 Kings 11:5.33, 2 Kings 23:13 and Zephaniah 1:5).

This demon of murder appears in many forms and cultures through history (Phoenician, Carthaginian, Canaanite, Celt, Indian, Aztec and others) but is always the same bloodthirsty beast that demands the killing of children as his form of worship.

This demon is not content with a single act of murder here and there. His insatiable appetite for the death of innocents seeks public endorsement to justify his gruesome deeds, and he needs a systematic expression of it to increase his worship.

The modern abortion industry offers ritual blood sacrifice to the ancient abortion demon. It is in every way a demonic religion ...

Then where did all the Australopithecines come from..?

Seriously though, It's amazing isn't it, 4 billion years of evolution to create a bible belt in America that denies the existence of everything that led to their existence..!

For the rest of us scientifically literate people, as carbon based life forms whos constituent elements were created in the cores of generations of stars, we are proof that the universe, at least in our neck of the universal woods, has evolved to a point where it can consider its own existence.
Isn't that so very cool..?

LOL, what have you fed your breasts lately? LOL Am I the only woman who feels this is a stupid idea, to designate a week to honor breast-feeding? Good grief, if a woman wants to breast-feed or not, it should be nobody's business. If they want to celebrate swollen human glands, let them designate national hemorroid week. LOL

For our new band "Rachel and the Temptresses." Mama24 is on lead guitar, I got the keyboards/lead vocals, but we still have a few openings.

And to make it relevant: should we play religious music?

On the street where we live we have a combination of different race, religion, ages, sexual orientation ext, yet we all get along and I could not wish for better neighbours.

I was chatting with the guy next door this morning and we were sayin how peaceful and quiet it is, yet we are different. We mind our own business, yet we are sociable when we see each other. See diversity can work in a community, and you can all learn from each other too.

And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat” (Leviticus 26:29). “And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters” (Deuteronomy 28:53). “And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them” (Deuteronomy 28:57). “And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend” (Jeremiah 19:9).
I knew they were in a strange cult with all the blood offerings and their god needing the blood of a human(jesus) to make everything okay......but this is going to far!
How can they believe in such a sick god?

A God Function is a man-made spiritual event; group prayer for example. The amount of certified, double-blind experimental proof is undeniable. All the atheists need to do is study science to understand that God is a function, a root energy machine. You don't have to believe the letters attributed to Saul of Tarsus who calls himself Paul.

You do need to read the Gospels for yourself. Jesus speaks as a God function in the writings of Mathew, Mark and Luke.

You should see that 5.99 Billion people are not just numb automatons. You need to awaken your spiritual sensory system before it goes dormant forever.

I entered Junior high, there was a "human culture" class, before that, I was only pretty familiar with Greek mythology coz it's very intriguing, I knew a little about "Adam and Eve", didn't know which category they belonged to, and I knew there was a guy named Jesus in a book named bible, another famous guy named Muhamood in Quran, that's it.....

the ironic is, I read the "expurgated" bible (the first half of OT), without kinky sex and bloody violence (so bascially 90% of the bible was "expurgated", I can hardly call it "bible" any more), the NT was too boring I didn't read, as for Quran, I found the first chapter was almost exactly like the Bible, So I didn't read either.

Probably because I knew about religions too late, I couldn't and can't understand why so many people are crazy about them, Is it because they were indoctrined too early, they were too young to say no?

We all know that according to the Bible, rainbows did not exist until after the flood. Evolutionistarians base their theories on things like observation and evidence.

The bible is a piece of evidence that there were no rainbows before the flood. There is no evidence that says that rainbows existed before the flood. So the evidence says that rainbows did not exist until after the flood. This proves that the flood happened and thus that Creationism is true.

And to those people who will say that my reasoning is circular because I'm using the Bible to argue for the Bible's truth: A circle is the perfect shape. Therefore, circular logic is perfect logic.

Let's see you evolutionistarians argue against that!
