On the street where we live we have a combination of different race, religion, ages, sexual orientation ext, yet we all get along and I could not wish for better neighbours.

I was chatting with the guy next door this morning and we were sayin how peaceful and quiet it is, yet we are different. We mind our own business, yet we are sociable when we see each other. See diversity can work in a community, and you can all learn from each other too.

The Hypno Pope -The chips have been down sometimes, such as when we had power cuts or at risk from flooding. There is a couple in their 80s who have lived here for many years and we all made sure they were ok.

The tree of life has as many branches as there have ever been life-forms in existence.... and that is a great many.
That should be diversity enough.

Unfortunately though, most people have an inbuilt sense of self-importance that places them subconsciously at the top of a hierarchy of vitality... with those similar to them higher up than those different to themselves. The real irony is that all humans are effectively one species... with very little genetic difference between one and the next, irrespective of race or physical appearance.
As such... even when the notion of "diversity" comes in, there is still the implication that people see these other races as "different" to themselves. They are still dividing their fellow humans by race, age, sexuality, etc ... even if it doesn't seem based in hate so much as forced ambivalence.

So why consider that a good thing?
It is just one small step in a very long process....
It is one thing to consider "diversity" great..... but a truly great person would see no diversity at all; just a collection of humans.

Think of a world if every one loved the same food and loved one lady. What happens all of us wants only chickens and muttons and loved only one kind of fruit. Think of a world if every one are a actors, where would the audience be? Yes, diversity is great. We all will not be one in our views and thinking. But we all can mutually tolerate and forgive one another as to live a peaceful life here.

The real test of your diversity comes when the chips are down. It's easy to be cordial when all is well.

Yes, it is. Life would be so boring if everyone is the same. It's the exchange of ideas that fuel our evolution and make life fulfilling,

Diversity is great when your attitude is sound. What spoils it is the hateful way people sometimes handle it.

It does have it's perks....agreed.
But it also has it's down side......

I am a Christian.....and if I mind my own business and don't tell anyone about what God says in His word.....about the state of mankind (sinful)....and that He has provided a way of escape from the coming judgment (Christ) then shame on me for being quiet.
