That is why many religions require people to recite what "sinners" they are over and over... it brainwashes them into believing they need a savior.
"Sin" and evil are two different things.... sin is something religions say we are born with (without a choice... like a bad inheritance), evil is something individuals choose...

There lies the question. A saviour implies "saving". Saving from what?
Yes...we've lost a lot when our intellectual enlightenment determined there is "no sin". Now...everything is about "tolerance" (which is a whole thread in itself).
So...lots of folks will say "sin" is a religious abstract. But what if we replaced the word with something more contemporary that demonstrates the same thing?
Have you violated any law? Speed by just one mile? Fudge a bit on taxes? Tell the wife her hips haven't gotten any wider?
So...is it possible for man to live without ever violating the laws? Well...seeing how God only wrote 10 commandments, and that's hard enough, well the government has how many VOLUMES of laws? And we tease ourself and say none of it really matters, that it's victimless and on and on.
I guess what I'm saying is our nature is to be a law-breaker. Oopps...sounds like Jesus' message. (because He is right!)

Not for sins, as they wouldn't be a factor to life but perhaps to other aspects of existing like food gathering and animal husbandry or in certain musical enterprises. In some capacity or another there does seem to be a need manifested for a Savior to deliver the masses from something or another, maybe we're hard wired for it.

Perhaps especially if one had no concept of sin would one need a savior. No concept of sin means that the most evil act imaginable is okay as long as it feels good. The only way to lose the concept of sin is to be an atheist and honest atheism naturally leads to nihilism and nihilism naturally leads to suicide or insanity.

No. The concept of sin and just punishment are required in order to have a proper desire for a Savior.

sin is an invention of man to control the masses, so we don't need a saviour.
only those who are weak minded need one.

I agree, I don't think that it is logical to believe that sin "sticks" to you, that you go around with this taint that has to be removed. I think that our sins hurt other people, and that we should seek their forgiveness, not god's...

I have no concept of sin....
So perhaps you should ask yourself if I consider myself in need of salvation.

No need to create a concept, it's written within. You know and feel it unless you have gotten good at denial, your conscience "seared over"
You can see this clearly among many addicts and among women who have had several abortions.
