It's a gift. People that are not born with it don't understand it. As a child I could tell you who was going to be on the phone and when it would ring......my christian parents thought it was of the"devil" and truly freaked me out about it.....it wasn't until I was an adult that I realized knowing things before they happened wasn't evil.....and I developed my gift farther. I wish I had since childhood......but its all good. Life is an education....you know what is right if you look into your heart.

First of all hun, there is no such thing as a wizard other than in Harry Potter.
Witchcraft is not evil at all in any sense of the word.
based on religion, witchcraft IS my religion and I am very proud of the fact that I call myself witch. Proud of the fact that I follow on a path that I believe in wholeheartedly.
The only wish that I have is that everyone no matter of religion could start to love one another without bias, I work with the public every day in a very Christan reformed neighborhood. People do not know what religion I am, they just assume that I am like them and there is no problem at all. If they were to know that I am a witch I guarantee that feelings would change. Proof that on the outside we are the same and we can get along.

Blessed Be

"don't say anything stupid, like i know u will" gosh how open-minded of you!!

however, being the mature one [ahem!] let me inform you of facts, not just my opinion mind, but actual facts:

witchcraft is not evil.
many midwives/wise women of your ancestors were also called witches. occasionally this got them into trouble with ignorant people who thought their healing skills meant the devil was helping them...no! they simply were intelligent, creative, knowledgeable women who made drinks and medicines from herbs and flowers etc. what xians call prayers, they call spells - these do NOT mean pointing at people and putting a hex on them!!! they are just prayers/blessings etc. witches are generally kind, honest open, tolerant and wise people.
god does not exist in many people's view, including that of witches. you may disagree, that is your right, but what isn't your right is to decry [those whose beliefs differ to yours] out of ignorance or fear.
therefore it is NOT a gift from god, or related to religion in any way.
it is a treasured and well-respected skill and art. you would benefit greatly if you were friends with a witch, or healed by one. if you can open up the mind just a little....

blessed be

EDIT:ghetto - are you actually talking out of your bottom???????????????????????????? people who are followers of god do not get cancer or have difficult teens???????????????????????????????? wtf????????

how dare you insult people like myself without any basis in fact, just superstitious gobbldy-****....
"
Witchcraft is just a deception brought to you personally by the devil. His mission is deceive so he can ruin your life and take you to hell. Look at people (if you know any) who experiement with witchcraft and see how good ther life is- not. Look at someone then that follows God and see that they're not dying of cancer and don't have a unsuccessful business and their kids are not in gangs, must I go on? Na, you'll see for yourself eventually. "
now, i'll try to keep it simple for you...

witches - do - NOT - believe - in - god - OR - the - devil, - so they - cannot - worship - either - of - them , - or - serve - them, - or - follow - them - or - receive - gifts - from - them - of any - sort - because - they - do - not - exist.

do you see?

many successful people around the world are witches. wiccans, pagans, atheists etc, and are very successful in life.

iof you are going to make such ridiculous remarks i suggest you come up with some kind of evidence, foolproof mind.

good grief. what century are we in???????????????

>> my fellow friends, i feel hecate is strong within me today, i need brigid to return so they can create more balance! blessed be

Witchcraft is neither; it's a skill, like reading or writing, that anyone can learn.

What you DO with it is another matter, and that's down to you.

Witchcraft is not evil. This is just a pandering that came about to convert pagans by fear and keep them within the christian faith. Now-a-days, I would hope that intelligent people can see that Pagans of all sects don't murder babies, suck blood, sell their souls to "the devil", lure wo/men to adultery, nor fly on broomsticks at night.
If they do, I would have to question their sanity.

There is no such thing as a wizard...one is a witch...male or female.

Speaking for myself, as a witch...I don't believe in a Christian God.....therefore how could my gift have come from there?

Witchcraft is not satan worship, satan is a creation of the Christian bible....I don't believe in their bible or their god.....why should I believe in their devil?

The Bible warns against it;
(Deuteronomy 18:10-12) There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs divination, a practicer of magic or anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, 11 or one who binds others with a spell or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events or anyone who inquires of the dead. 12 For everybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable things Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you.

I think that if there is supernatural power involved in witchcraft then it comes from evil spirits who are trying to deceive people into believing that they can get power to cause their will, either good or bad, to come to pass on this earth.

The people don't realize that "they" don't have any power. Seducing spirits condescend to make things happen in order to sow more confusion on this earth about God and mankind's responsibility to trust in Him and recognize Jesus as their Lord.

If people pray to God and their prayers are according to his will, then He will bring things to pass in his own way and in his own time. Witchcraft seeks to delude a person into thinking that the best way to cause something to happen is to use supernatural power to bring it to pass in the way of their choosing and at the time that they want it to happen.

Wicca is just another religion. They have just as much of a right to practice their religion as Christians do.

I believe that magick is a tool given to us by the Goddess, one we can use to help us meet our needs. Like any other tool, it can be abused, but we don't ban fire because it can burn us, nor hammers because they can smash our fingers. Wisely used, magick can be of great benefit.
