Is the Christian God everywhere, or is he in a flesh and blood body? Is there any scriptures that say what he is?

people say there is a god, but if there is why does he only take the good people away from us,and leave the bad here,

my best mate died in a car crash the other day,
if there is a god then he did not deserve to die that way,.

he is the most kindest person the world had, he would not ever hurt a fly, if he was bad in his bed he would always do you a favor,

so why did god take him in that was, is the hardest way for him ot die,

so is there a god or is it a myth

Does the book of JOB reflect all of humanity, or just one prideful man-child in which God and Satan tested his will to live?

And Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it will happen. "And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." (Matthew 21:21-22 NAS)

Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it shall be done for him. Therefore I tell you, all that you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours. (Mark 11:24-25 NAB)

Anyone who says he has answered every one them is a liar, I have known hundreds of christians, even was one at one stage and I know what you guys pray for.

I believe in the power and energy in the universe, that life exists as a result of molecular processes, but do not know if this was through any intelegence other than coincidence or inevitability. I don't really like singing in public, but would be willing to have a statue or some sort of thing to focus on, I like candles. I am open minded but am skeptical, what religion would you suggest?

I would gain so much more respect if people just admitted that they don't REALLY believe, but they're just in it for the community. That would make sense.

...and even as they do at times, must we continue to let them provike? Be that as it may, I understand Israel is angry because Iran doesn't "recognize" them. They "want to wipe them from the face of the earth". Well, other groups of people feel the same way about still other groups of people. It's not as though this train of thought is limited to Israel! So why am I inundated with this information? Actually, that Israel worries to much about Iran almost teeters to the belief that Israel feels inferior to Iran! This hopeless reaction of Israel because of Iran's beliefs is puerile! . Let Iran believe what it wants to believe. Few, if any other people feel that way, although some may dislike Israel. But there is too much emphasis on Iran. We all need to remain vigilant, and protective of our own. But this "he said, she said" has to go. It really does.
Iran talks a big game, but we also need to remember that a silent enemy is far more dangerous than a mouthy Ahmadinejad

Saying an all-loving God wouldn't let His creation burn in Hell doesn't really work. It's more of opinion on your definition of love.

I learnt this prayer over 20 years ago at school and still recite it to this day:
Lord, make me a better person,
More considerate to others,
More honest with myself,
More faithful to you,
Make me generous enough to sincerely do your will,
Whatever it may be,
Help me find my true vocation in life,
And grant that through it,
I may find happiness myself,
And bring happiness to others.

So what is your favourite prayer?

It doesn't even have to have a religious flavor - it just has to have inspired you in some way.

This week mine is:

"Man is a marvel
due honor and reverence
he takes on the attributes of gods
as if he were one of their number
He is familiar with the gods
because he knows he springs
from the same source"

My family is lutheran and my mom wants me bury St. Joseph upside down to sell my house. I put all my faith in God and when He wants me to sell it- it WILL sell. She doesn't understand my faith even though we are of the same. Most lutherans don't pray to or through saints. I was wondering what you think of this and what denomination you are (just wondering). Would you bury him upside down and what is this all about?

Baptism is the outward sign of repentance. We are saved by grace through faith and nothing else.......Jesus did it as a sign of submission to the Father while in human form. But nowhere in scripture is it etched in stone saying that you will miss out on heaven if you are not baptised.

Romans 10:8-13
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
13 For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”

Don't add doctrines to scripture that aren't there.

I have not only purchased but had gifts given to me which display a Celtic Swirl. Recently I noticed that they are everywhere around me. The things I purchased I honestly didn't notice the symbol until recently.

Does anyone know what this may signify for me?
