Sounds like you answered your own question. You have found the prophetic passage, and the fulfillment. Note that God is called, "He that dwells between the Cherubim."

Note also the following:
Genesis 3:24 - Two Cherubim guard the Tree of Life
1 Kings 8:7 - Two Cherubim guard the Ark resting place in the temple.
Ezekiel 11:22 - They are seen where the glory of God is.
Hebrews 9:5 - These all have meaning.

I like that question. It is a very good one.

No, there is nothing in common between these two scriptures. And no, the place where Jesus was laid does not represent the Mercy Seat.

The temple in Jerusalem was a pattern of the reality. It was the typical representation and in this typical representation, this was the cover of the Ark, also known as the propitiatory cover, also the "mercy seat." It was before the cover of this Ark that the high priest splattered blood on Atonement Day for the sins of the people.

At Hebrews 9:5, the Greek word hilasterian is used – it means propitiatory or cover. In the pattern, God's presence was represented between the two cherubs. But according to Hebrews, the reality is heaven itself. So . . .

Just like the high priest entered the Most Holy on the Day of Atonement to present the blood of sacrifice, so our High Priest, Christ Jesus, entered the heavens itself to appear before God, to present the value of his shed blood for our atonement. See Hebrews 9:11-14, 24-28.

So the mercy seat is in the heavens. The physical one on earth represented the spiritual one in the heavens.

I'm sorry I do not know much about your inquiry.

However, there is a parallel account at Luke 24:2-7, when 2 angels spoke to the disciples.

The Bible says 'at the mouth of two or three witnesses a matter is proved true.' So, 2 angels gave creditability and emphasis that Jesus had risen. Deuteronomy 19:15.

You could use the word typist.

Every year the High Priest would sprinkle sacrificial blood on the Mercy Seat for the atonement of the sin of the people. This was a type and a foreshadowing of the sacrifice that Christ made when He shed His blood on a Roman cross for the sin of the world, once and for all time.
