Religion & Spirituality - 21 February 2007

Most evangelicals want to abolish our great tradition of Separation of Church and State and want to make the U.S. a Christian nation. They are fascists. They're not like the good ol' christians that believed in helping others and giving everyone equal rights, but instead, they focus on things like abortion and gay marriage, forcing their reliegious beliefs on everyone else. We already have an evangelical president.
What can we do to stem this horrible growth?

At first you would ask your self why was Naomi's sending her daughter-in-laws back to thier GODS if she knows that God is the one true God. That is disheartning.

But after thinking was she testing her daughter in laws faith?Orpah and Ruth both followed her when she left but she told them go back to where you came from. Go back to your land and your gods. Orpah did. But Ruth didn’t. Ruth said I will learn your ways and accept your God. This is just a thought and what we were studying in bible study tonight. I wanted some opinions on this. What do you think Naomi was trying to say to Orpah and Ruth when she said go back to you land and your gods?

So even if an alien race landed here, said we have explored the whole universe. There are many other societies on different planets out there. There are many other life forms. You are the only creatures that believe in this "jesus" thing. The religious people would STILL believe and try to convert the aliens!

ok so jesus didnt say anything bad about gays. passages from the bible that mention "homosexuality" dont talk about homosexuality in the kind and loving way. its all about rape and stuff. i mean leviticus (do i really wanna follow the ancient rabbi code?) made clear that it wasnt cool, but what passages talk about loving homosexuals? i mean i really do believe and have faith in Jesus Christ. Many people say im going to hell, but ive accepted Jesus Christ as my savior?? whats wrong here?!?

Now i have been a christian for a few of years and have just recently converted to the muslim faith and i now look at the midle east in a very difrent way. But while reading the bible during my time as a christian and found it very intresting that when God chosen people went into the land of milk and honey they were told to kill everything to not even keep there welth for themselves so they would go into the land and kill every man woman and child that lived in the land they killed there livestocks burned there buldings until the great land that was once there was reduced to piles of ashes and dead bodies now the muslim jihadist are doing the exact same thing in the name of God but now that they are doing this it is wrong and un-Godly my question is why is it ok when you do it when murder millions of people because God told you to its ok but when someone else does it o no that terible they shouldent be doing that i dont get it whats the difference and i want to ad i dont suport jihad
