I don't want to ruin it for you, so this last clue is rather philosophical:

Outside of this chat group, what is the most often asked question in both family life and in the news?

Yet, it is seldom if ever answered.

Dear "Nexus" - I mean when a person tells you something they know is not a reality.

Whoops! I said I wasn't going to give any more clues.

Okay, Okay. One more clue. When you know the answer to this riddle, you will learn something that you might not have ever known, if hadn't been for that person lying to you.

I plan to give no more clues. Why? If you discover this on your own, you will always remember to apply it. - That is just how our memory seems to work

I guess i haven't figured it out yet......

I know from work how to spot a lie. One thing i notice often.... When i ask them a question. The honest answer is quick. The dishonest person drags out the words and has to take sometime to think of things. Different people have different "tells" for lies but they are often similar.

So we know we can learn the persons "tells"

Can you give me a clue by telling me what you mean by "lie"??
Does telling a girl she looks great when she looks like a mess, qualify?
How about a lie that you don't realize is a lie? Like telling people that Columbus discovered America.

Everyone lies its just a matter what you lie about and how far you take it. Thats how i see it.

guesses:
You learn that if you tell a lie long enough it becomes "true"?
You can learn what they truly want? Or Fear?
(nah i know you are looking for something more)

Perhaps that they are afraid to tell you the truth, and it may have more to do with you than you realize? Hit a child, lose his trust. Demean an adult, do the same. I know it's possible to learn that one's own approach may be leading their loved ones to lie to them out of fear. At that point it may become clear that changing one's attitude would be of great benefit to him or her.

The most often asked question, eh? "Is he/she cheating"? A grand sense of paranoia is often on the boards here and in the news.

Ah, conjecture. I imagine I am probably incorrect considering your clues but it wouldn't shock me if we were on similar wavelengths.

That you shouldn't have voted for them? lol

You should learn not to trade. Given generally sincere people; you will seldom be lied to if you ask questions where people are free to say no.

Let your conversaton be yea and nay. Everything else comes from sin.

Ignore the lies?

You learn what isn't true. And that you can't trust their word all the time, and how to not make it obvious when you tell your own lies.

In Genesis, God starts out by lying to Adam and Eve. Maybe there's something in the Bible that could address this?
