I'm a Christian and have studied the belief for years, but this is one of the most confusing things to me.

Considering all that the Holy Bible, in all its versions an the earliest books (Greek and Hebrew texts) - what makes you so sure that Jesus is not at all the son of God, the savior of the world and the only way to God?

I get that it was to signify their faith, but really shouldn't God know. God would have to know right, He's all knowing. So why the blood, and didn't anyone in Egypt catch on. After say what 6 plagues, they see the Isrealites put lamb's blood on their doors, not one Egyptian thought it might be a good idea, and if they did, did that trick God? And if it didn't trick God why put the lamb's blood up if God already knows who's faithful?

Okay, if you believe and follow the Bible imagine this scene:

In the future it becomes Federal Law that anyone who does not believe in evolution is a criminal and will be locked up for ten years. (Insert backstory that would lead to this law being passed, I'm not a novelist).

As a devout Christian would you publically deny evolution knowing it would get you locked up, or would you lie and say it was true, knowing you were lying to God, and running the risk of going to hell?

Now really think about it like it was happening right now.

Also remember that I'm pretty sure in the Bible it says to respect the laws of the land, so really it's a lose-lose situation here too.

What would you do?

As an Atheist I do not believe in any gods, but I think it may be possible there is an afterlife, some awareness after we die. However, I will not claim it as a fact. I just have some personal experience that makes me think it is possible, but it has nothing to do with a god. It may be part of the natural process of death.

My husband was divorced. He remarried me. So I'm his second wife. We're happily married. Per the Bible, is he committing adultery on his first wife? Where can I read about divorce in the bible, just out of curiousity? thanks

I get embarrassed when my pastor visits and is trying to talk while my dog is lying on the rug in front of him. And then I keep excusing the dog, who keeps this dumb uninterested look and my pastor is polite always and tries to ignore the whole thing. I just am beside myself.

Ok at lst god had nothing...then he decided to create humans n earth of out nothing defyin all physics laws...then he died for our sins...then he says be good to go to heaven...then when we go do good we go heaven...then we stay with god in heaven....

Whats the whole point? Why must we be even created? U know there is no motive at the end of the day...why humans? earth? Heaven?

If his final aim to see us all in heaven becuz god is lonely then he could have straight away created some good humans in heaven straight away....there is something missing about god if he even existed which is not addressed in christianity or other religions...

All of my Christian friends tend to believe this. But I tend to believe that if you are saved and don't walk the walk, and have back-slidden then you can lose your salvation.

I'm a Christian and this confuses me.
Wasn't God alone befor ehe created anything.
And wasn't the devil just a human that died and later tried to take over Heaven?

If lust was a sin then why did he make some boys so damn fine that you can't help it and no matter how hard you try you just CANNOT help it. Why does he do that?!?

It's times like these I wish I wasn't even a christian.

If we think the book is just a book. Written by a bunch of crazy or scared people running around the dessert thousands of years ago. why would you try to convince us about anything by quoting it? Here I wrote a book here, its 1 page long. It says human beings made up god. Not convinced, of course you're not. Why would you expect an atheist to have any other reaction when you quote the bible? Do religious people actually think we'll go oh yeah I've changed my whole outlook now...I believe! Praise jebus I believe!

Some Bible interpreters believe that there will be no second chance for salvation after the Rapture. However, there is no place in the Bible which says this, or even hints to it....or is there?
