in a sense yes, it feels like pure joy, pure love, complete peace and no regrets and no "hangover" and I don't forget like with substance abuse.

Hard to explain in words but I'll try. Before it was like no one was there,I was empty and lost.Didn't really know that my actions and decisions were what was causing all of my misery.I didn't understand very much and I always felt depressed and heavy with guilt and shame. Then after I was baptized all of that changed. The guilt and shame left,I no longer felt alone,I understood so much and saw everything with eyes that understood.I felt Jesus guidance showing me how to live and how to avoid doing wrong and making mistakes,I actually heard him telling me "Don't,instead do this" and I would pause and think ok that makes alot of sence,I'll do that instead. The hatred and anger I felt before was replaced with a love that I can't really describe,I had never really felt love before or knew what it was.But after being saved that is all I have felt since.I'm no longer proud,or vain,I don't care about material things,I am not quick to anger anymore. For the past 3 years it seems all I really care about is listening and learning and loving my Father and all of those around me.I understand now that we are not to hate the person because they sin,but to forgive the person and despise the sin for what it did to them. It's a feeling that's so intense that I would never trade it for anything or compare it to anything.I hope you and so many others can find this too if you already haven't.What a difference it makes to be found instead of being lost.

i've never really been high (although i think i got a contact buzz at a jimmy page concert once). however, when i get really deep into "talking" with God, after a nice session where i "let it all hang out" i feel much lighter and way more peaceful. i assume that is like getting high, where you don't give a damn about all the usually worrisome things, and where nothing is urgent anymore.

I think perhaps I did. When I was baptized I was really excited and talking about the experience but my dad did not appreciate my excitement and told me to shut up. So I did.

Today I do not feel the high but I am old and we do not get high except perhaps when we stand up fast. Now I enjoy a daily connection to the Spirit who made all things. It does not make me high but it keeps me going. My life is a daily answer to my prayers.

Yes, and it is the ultimate, mother of all 'highs'. Peace, joy, love, satisfaction, (you name it) all rolled into one great feeling. What drugs produce is like comparing a candle with the bright sun. Yet it has no side effects and can be reproduced if you know how.

Sadly, when some people cannot get it, they turn to drugs.

I would get high on God if He could get the religions to agree on God. Until that happens, I'll stay sober.

Yes it has happened to me and there is nothing in this world, no drug, no experience, that I can compare it with. If that's what heaven will feel like, it's a thousand times better than any high on earth.

It depends on how you understand God... God is the universe and I tell you traveling around it gets me high! Thinking on multiple levels and perceiving the connections between events, seeing the cause then understanding the reason, gaining the wisdom...

I get high!

For many years, I was HIGH ON LIFE!!!! But then I built up a tolerance, you know? I used to seize the day, but pretty soon I was seizing 2 days, 3 days, a week, just to cop the same buzz man. It was terrible.

As my former pastor used to say, "It's not how loud you holler or how high you jump, it's how straight you walk when you hit the ground".
