Why is it that on here athiests...?

Athiests are always making fun off christians and shoving their belief at them but if a christian did that they are so quick to jump on them...?

And it's cute how you athiests cannot answer the question so you try to avoid it and get off the subject.

Because atheists live in fear and have the absence of God in their lives. I don't mean "being afraid" of man. They fear the unknown to them. Some of them know the truth but are afraid to live it. They know about hell and are afraid to believe in a terrible place. They figure by making fun of Christians, they can then justify their non belief. They maybe hope that by some chance the Christians may be wrong. Just because they don't believe in hell does not mean they won't go there and it is sad that they choose this path.

I don't push my religion on anyone, I am pagan, I tell people about it if they ask but I don't run around and tell random people about it.

some of it might have to do with how historically it was the other way around, christians had missionaries and burned and killed people who didn't believe. It is only fair in some peoples minds that now christianity doesn't have the same hold over the world as it did that some repayment is due. I am not saying that christians will be killed or something stupid like that, I am just saying that for so long it was my way or the stake, now people are more open and can express their religions or beliefs without being killed for them, mostly, in most countries.

I think it's mostly they are insulted. They see everyone as equal, while they see Christians as having that "better than thou" attitude. I mean especially with the "I'm going to heaven, and since you don't believe Jesus is your Lord and saviour, you're going to hell." It's almost a form of elitism.

Now the worst part is is that most of these atheists have read the Bible, or studied enough about the Christian religion to make a conclusion that it is udder crap, made by confused and/or greedy men to answer questions, and exaggerated to make money. Not some Divine answer to all of life's questions. in fact the Bible poses more questions than it answers.

Let me remind you that for hundreds of years in Europe and the United States, Christians persecuted atheists, Jews, Mormons, and all non-gentiles alike just for not being Christian. Atheists and other non-gentiles wanted to live in peace, but as soon as they were found out, Christians make public spectacles of them and burned them alive. The laws at the time did nothing to stop this, and in fact, encouraged and enforced this. So don't get upset just because nowadays a few atheists come out in the open and express their views against the belief in Christianity, because Christians have been acting the exact same way for hundreds of years without relent. And at least the Christians aren't being persecuted!

(-: It's my understanding that on this board, religion is a hot topic, and everyone is jumping on everyone else. I've read about Wiccans complaining about everyone, Christians complaining about atheists, atheists ripping on Christians.

I think it's just a way a lot of people have of passing the time -- picking on other religions. (-: But I'm agnostic, so what the heck do I know?

Theists, especially christians, try to control and restrict us based on their views. If all christians stop crusading against science, culture, art, sex and sexuality, religious freedom and such, and stop telling everybody else they're going to be tortured throughout eternity unless they join you, I assure you that you won't encounter nearly as much hostility.
