Do you beleive that we could eliminate alot of the worlds problems if people of every religion came together and stopped arguing over others beleifs? If people in every religion came to recognize that other people have different beleifs, and that they themselves are not responsible for other's salvation, only the individual is. Can you imagine a world where everyone respected one anothers beleifs as something that they choose to beleive in, and not judge them for it? Of course it wouldn't keep people from sharing their own beleifs with others, but to only do it when another individual came to them with interest about it. If everyone stopped arguing about who's beleif was the "only way to salvation", do you think that alot of the worlds problems such as war, discrimination, arguments in schools about God, (or arguments about God being placed in any public place), etc. would be solved, or at least be improved?

Is your Church condsidering same sex marriages/blessings? If s, how is it effecting the politics and daily life of your Church? Will it cause divisions? If its already happened, what was the outcome?
Do you think there should be blessings for the unions of same sex couples? Why? Why not?

Does the New Testament say anything directly or indirectly about same sex relationships? Jesus said nothing on the matter. If it were important, or worth saying something about, wouldn't Jesus have said somethng about it?
The fact that Christ says nothing about it suggests to me that same sex relationships could still be a matter of Christian doctrine, but not of core doctrine.
What do you think?

Do you take the book of Genesis literally? How old is the world?
Or do you see Genesis as an allegory?
I have no problem seeing evolution as the handiwork of God. And it in no way interferes with my belief in Christ, in His full, pysical, bodily ressurection.

My friend Mia knelt at the Baptist preacher's alter one glorious day and did the special incantation, and said halleluja to Jesus; and now she is saved, and her seat in Heaven is guaranteed.

But her mother was not so lucky -- she was occupied in a scientific career, inculcated in godless science; and so could not admit such things as Jesus got up after being dead three days, and two weeks later rose into the sky... Mia's mother couldn't quite accept such feats of Jesus, and now she is burning and rotting in Hell forever.
Question:

Then will God wipe away every care, so Mia when she dies can enjoy Heaven without thinking about her mother in Hell?

a lot of people say that God has a special plan for everyone and I can relate to that because after all we don't get to choose what we will be like when we enter the world (our talents, looks, etc).

but then again there are people who supposedly don't believe in anything and thier life works out great.

what do you think about this

God gave it so that "it would be well" with His people
(Deuteronomy 4:40).
Paul wrote that the Law is holy, righteous and good
(Romans 7:12).
Paul stated that the Law is spiritual
(Romans 7:14).
Paul said that he himself delighted in the Law
(Romans 7:22-25).
When accused that he might be teaching that the Law was done away, Paul took steps to prove otherwise
(Acts 21:21-26).

does this carm website have answers on Mormonism? This is like me asking the Muslims to explain Christianity. Or the Moonies to explain the Amish. You don't get the full story. If you don't agree with the beliefs then that's okay! But why is it necesary to provide half-truths and conjecture?

It's going on 2,000 years now. I think it's time for a revision. Any day now we should open the Bible and see new material. Perhaps more Commandments. I'm sure many Christians would love to see " Thou shalt not abort fetuses". Well, have you looked lately ? Tell me what the New Bible says.

Supersessionism is the idea that modern day Christians are the true children of Israel. They are the inheritors of all of God's promises in the Old Testament. This idea says that Christians today are in fact the Jews.

What do you think of this idea?

Do you have any problems with this idea on a biblical, historical, social, political level?

Do you believe in it? Does it matter?

Just wondering what people think.

I also like...."Loki and the Sky Walkers" as a potential name.
