Gen.1:1,2;
All exist here. There must be some experts to determine the billions of years here and any can examine it, but few should be experts in this field. God give us the average
believer the facts. It is easy to know billions are here and no need to speculate beyond it.
As for the above, evolution can have a field day, or a science day, or experts in this field, their day. We do not all have to be experts in this field. What can happen in billions of years?
Gen.1:3-25;
If day in creation as God's time is used, then we come to plant life given times and seasons [ 1Thes.5:1-9; 21 ]; this is times and seasons we use, and there is a way to give these thousands of years the time God is speaking of, as God, ended creating at end of day six. HOW OLD WAS ADAM AT END OF DAY SIX?
The above is the other area that the same that applies to Gen.1:1,2; applies here.
Gen.1:26; God said,"Let us make man in our image, after our likeness."
Col.1:15-17; Jesus first creation created in the image of God. Rev.3:12,14;
Job 38:4-7;
Angels see earth prepared. SO JESUS IS BEFORE THEM.
HOW OLD WOULD ADAM BE? My bible tells me, 6,073 is age of Adam.
From prophecy of Babylon Empire #3, is 2,613 years ago.
From Jesus in Roman Empire #6 at end of bible years, is 2,007 years ago.

The allegory is correct. In fact the first part of it is exactly how God makes a christian, or born again. Then we have Adam in the garden, a figure or shadow of Christ...It was along time between the days of creation, because God has a principle and that is that every seed produces after its own kind. I can tell you this Gods word is not int he literal! He has hidden it that's why seeking is required, digging for Gold. His Spirit knows the mind of God..God didn't leave it up to our intellect..so go and seek with a pure heart and don't ever go into Gods word unworthily...wash your hands and your feet..spiritually speaking

The creation story at the beginning of Genesis need not be taken literally in the sense that God created the Earth in exactly this way. But it should not be taken as a allegory, since allegory is manner of expression that was not inuse by the pre-Christian Israelities.

There is nothing wrong, or un-Christian, about differing interpretations of Genesis. There's nothing in the Bible that says that anything other than a literal interpretation is a sin.
It's not a question of "problem verses" being allegory and verses one "likes" being literal. It's context and reading comprehension. You don't look at poetry and interpret the problem stanzas as allegory and the ones we like as literal. You take the ones that by their nature and context are figurative and interpret them figuratively. Naturally, differences of opinion can exist, and are fine.

yes in a lot of ways, because if it is allegory, then Jesus' words and those of the New Testament are not trustworthy, Christ took the creation of the World as factual because He created them, because He the Word created all things. If He did not then none of Jesus' words can be taken as the Truth, whom He is called the Truth. It is not just about defining who is right and who is wrong, if the Word of God is not truthful in all, then it is not the truth where it is the most important that in the area of our salvation, thus the Word cannot be trusted to be the whole of truth according to the scriptures for our salvation. Thus we have no hope, no certainties, no salvation, no heaven. If evolution is the truth, then the Bible is a lie, and God is a liar. Choose this day whom you will believe -
A truthful Omnipotent Creator or ignorant, unintelligent disorder, evolution.
but if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve... .. but as for me and my household we will serve the LORD. Joshua 24:15

Yes, its wrong. Your book should be called the Book of Allegory Genesis. The book of Genesis is what it is. If you don't like it write your own book or books as many have done. Good luck on whatever it is you are trying to say.

No, there is nothing wrong with that. In fact, that is the only way one can understand many of the stories in Genesis. It would be ridiculous to take everything in the Bible literally.
Adam and Eve had two sons, one of whom was sent out and married a woman. Where did this other woman come from? This proves that they couldn't have been the only one's on earth.

Jesus believed it. Why would you accept a philosophy that came into it's own about 200 years ago? You must look through all the smoke they present and see what they really know. They interpret the same evidence everyone sees. It is not conclusive or else there would be no argument. That's the problem. It is far from convincing evidence.
