Why did Satan chose to go against him in the book of Job? Wouldn't Satan know that God could see all, and would know the outcome, why would he bet against God? Why would God let their little game even take place if they both knew the outcome? I don't get it, is God amused by Satan killing a man's staff and family just to prove a point?

St.Patrick's day-St.Pat brought Catholicism to pagan Ireland.

Halloween-All hallows eve-All souls eve. This was the night before All Saints day. It was said that on this night, many demons were out, and to scare them away you'd dress up like a demon yourself.

I think that this is most of the established holidays.

Disclaimer: These questions are for SOME, not all, atheists.

1) you’re allowed to read and reply to any question on any forum, but ……..why are you here on the religion and spirituality forum?

2) Why do the same atheists seem to harass, poke and prod at believers? And then get mad when they return the fire?

3) why do you think some atheists post questions when they seem to think they already know the answer and then proceed to ridicule and make fun of people of faith who have given their sincere answer. Much like the play ground bully in elementary school.

4) why is it that Christians are so often called morons and idiots for believing the Bible, but these same names are rarely directed at Jews (who follow the same book, called the Torah, which is the Bible’s first testament) or at Muslims?

5) why do so many atheists criticize Christians for not accepting other religions, philosophies or ways of thinking when they themselves aren’t accepting of Christians?

Violence is not and never can be the answer. I am sure before this big conflict in Irag that both the Sunnis and the Shiites (Shia) advocated suicide bombing against other people, of course. Well, now they are doing it to each other. Please, someone out there just start refusing to do these things! Is it not better to go down to your grave knowing that you never lifted your hand in violence against your fellow human being?

A question was asked moments ago: if the user asked a fellow human for help instead of God, was it a sin?

What I'd like to know is... HOW does God "send" people to assist others? What is it that God does to "send" these helpers?
