Muhammed, his tribe and ancestors, all worshipped the Moon-God Allah. This is why the symbol of islam is the moon crescent, visible on flags of islamic countries, and obviously The Red Crescent muslim aid organisation.

Why did muhammed say his god was called allah then, and don't just say it translates into the word 'god', in his eyes, the god was allah the moon-god.

Have any of them even read Christ's commandment to love one another? Answering a question is one thing, but to phrase it so harshly is unnecessary and gives Christianity a bad name. Being beligerant is not a christian value!

Of course if your Christian you believe in Jesus, if your Hindu you believe in multiple gods, if your Atheist you believe there is no god, but dig deeper, what are your unique and PERSONAL religious beliefs?

Note: If your gonna run in here and say "Your all wrong, there is no god!" or "Your religion is all lies!" or anything of the sort, please don't post in this question.

Instead of throwing scripture at unbelief, especially in the form of religiosity and judgement, wouldn't we bring more to Christ by letting people know that God's real motivation is to restore people back into fellowship with Him because of His awesome love. After all we know that the world already stands under the judgement of God because of the Law. So wouldn't it make sense to reveal His grace at the cross? The perfect Law of love and grace was given in the new covenant. Sorry about being so wordy, but maybe less religious terms would be more appropriate for witnessing the Jesus we know.

I remember when I first heard about born again christians. I was a christian at the time and my reaction was kinda like 'OK, so this is a way for some christians to feel they are better than other christians.'

I find myself thinking the same thing when I see people typing Jeshua or Yahweh or whatever. Am I alone in thinking this?

I have come to understand that Lucifer hates us as Gods favored creation. He will do whatever it takes to turn us away from God. Here is my question. "If i had lucifers power and one third of Gods angels under my control i think that i wouldnt simple be trying to tempt man i would be showing myself, literally, and trying to destroy this world that God created. So why hasnt he? Did God tell him he could only tempt man? if this is so why does he even care what God says? He went to war to get his own way didnt he? Why did he stop?" I know this might take some real thought and there are about a hundred bible verses that you can quote that will seem to cover this topic but lets be for real. Something as evil as lucifer (and i mean something) would not be content to just tempt man not when he could do much, much more. I believe in God dont get me wrong but if we are to resist the adversary then we must not walk with blinders on. First you must know your enemy before you can defeat him.

I was collecting some books on graphy theory and math and noticed in the 'science section' a 'science' book called THE REPUBLICAN WAR AGAINST GOD which had an elephant on the cover mooning the reader

I asked the reference librarian if she could find me a book on intelligent design or creation science that balances the view and she only found one in the entire New York Orange county. Rampapo system which she ordered... is this really acedemically balanced...

does a book with an elephant moonning the readers snubbing creation views which looks more political than full of carely thought fairly represent the comunities views.... is it difficult in the northeat for libraries to represent Christian world views.

should libraries be a forum for all ideas, including AHEM Chrstiians or should they only represent secular views

Dan.9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city,
to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy,
and to anoint the most Holy.
(CB) from the going forth, &c.: i.e. in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes (= the great king: i.e. Astyages), 454 B.C.

(CB) commandment = word. Hebrew dabar. Referring to the Divine word rather than to a royal decree.

(CB) Jerusalem. Not the Temple (as in Ezra), but the city (as in Nehemiah), which was the subject of Daniel’s prayer, and therefore the answer to it.

Messiah the Prince is Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. NOTE: the upper case “P” of Prince.

(CB) seven weeks = forty-nine years (454-405 B.C.).

(CB) threescore and two weeks = 434 years (405 B.C. – A.D. 29) : the two together being 49 + 434 = 483 years; leaving seven years to make up the full 490 years of Dan.9:24.

(GPD) page 77 : Archaeological findings have recently established September 29, 2 B.C. as the birth of Christ and April 3, A.D. 33 as the precise day of His Crucifixion. The base length of 30.043 Pyramid inches converted to years and projected on the slope of the Ascending Passage marks October 14, A.D. 29 which is the date of His baptism, exactly 3 ½ years before His death on Calvary.
