No!! God is the only logical option.

and I am not desperate.

I have a good life, a great family, and friends that respect me and my opinions.

I think one of two ways...it either drives you closer to God or away from Him. God draws near to the broken-hearted...but we don't always draw near to Him. Desperation has drawn me closer to Him and I find Him faithful even in the midst of the devestation that has come into my life in the past year.

Yes. Desperation clears the non essential of your life from your thoughts.

Mother Teresa once said that those in physical poverty have greater spiritual strength, then those of great material wealth who are weak in spiritual strength.
