I mean we do not perceive religion like the ancient Greeks or even earlier Christians. God, hell, the afterlife, prophets, sins, and all aspects of religion have kept with the times. So, with that being said...How do you think religion will change?

Yahoo! Answers has become like the world outside. We have become so busy getting offended by religious ideologies and religions that we have completly forgotten that Yahoo!Answers has more categories. Like the world we have made outside, we have forgotten about people's real and true problems, and all we are doing is argue whose religion says what. Don't you find it very sad?

Well here I have the question and answer.
.
Read what famous personalities have said about Muhammad, peace be upon him, over the ages:

Encyclopedia Britannica confirms: "...a mass of detail in the early sources shows that he was an honest and upright man who had gained the respect and loyalty of others who were likewise honest and upright men." (Vol. 12)

George Bernard Shaw said about him: "He must be called the Savior of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it much needed peace and happiness". (The Genuine Islam, Singapore, Vol.1, No.8, 1936)
.
If you really want to know who he was, go to the website below.

Plz, plz, plz be a little respectful before you comment.

a couple of weeks back, I posted a question asking about similarities between 2 very different faiths, Christian related faiths. Most response to it was negative. But yet I have found one similarity. It's that in the Hindus believe in a same story of a Great Flood. Check it out but first check out my question that I asked few weeks ago:

To risk or even lose your life for another when there is no time to think, in other words based on sheer reaction, or to have time to assess the situation beforehand, and to risk or lose your life anyway in behalf of a fellow human being?

I was thinking, that would make for an awesome costume. Also, I'd have a friend as a Preist with a leather paddle in hand; smacking the other telling me: "YOU BETTER GET DONATIONS UP THIS YEAR OR YOUR GONNA BE PUNISHED LIKE THE NAUGHTY BOY YOU ARE"...

Many Christians I have spoken with will tell me that their spiritual relationship with God is the most important thing. It tells them how to interperate the bible, when something is right, etc.

Now I have always had a relationship with God, since I was a child and didn't know who God was supposed to be. (Please don't thumbs down me for this, I am speaking from the heart)
My relationship with God has led me to believe that the bible is innacurate or poorly worded because those things do not convery the God I know.

I really gave Christianity a go for a while (several very devoted years) but it just did not sit right with me.

After much searching I believe Jesus was a man extremely connected with God, but no more than we can be if we try. I am very inspired by hearing stories of people who have that connection in general. I believe Ghandi did from what I have read of his works. He seems to speak of the same version of God I know.

What do you think of my relationship with God?

Hate for jews is very wide spread in the world. Especially in the middle east. As a matter a fact there were people in Germany who wanted to exterminate the Jews before Hitler was around. So this group could be blamed(partly) for the Holocaust. Who are they??

explain to me,... if there is an all mighty God, then why does he let bad things happen to good people that pray to him everyday? Why can't you all come to realize that you are praying to a fiction person...and that the only "person you pray to" is yourself? You are the only person that has the potential to change your reality!

To often people who ask wheter god could stop violence most people say stop blaming him for our HUMAN mistakes. But at the same time when you say something good happened they say God did that (not a HUMAN endeavor, couldnt be) and you must praise him for all the good he does for us. Kinda one sided dont ya think.

If everyone was given the choice of:

1)Free will and (arbitrarily) a 50/50 chance of going to hell.

2)A life which guaranteed happiness and fullfillment but did not allow for the option of sin.

Everyone of sound mind would choose 2), so how in the heck can forcing 1) on everybody possibly be doing them a favor??? Explain to me how the people in hell are benefitting from that most generous of 'favors" How dumb must a person be to not see how ridiculous the concept of free will as a 'gift' is! Think, people, think.

We get to read in the news papers, about rich people getting special passes like gold card when they pay the temple authorities in lakhs. They don't need to take the trouble of standing in queues for the darshan of GOD,whereas the people who cannot afford to pay are made to stand in queues for hours for darshan.I always used to wonder such discrimination in name of God.What is the message sent through such behaviour.
