God and love is not a separate thing cause God is love.

Love is not something that God has nor is it something that God does. Rather Love is what God is.

That love is best expressed as willing good or willing good to men of good will. Since God is love, and love is not something separate from God, or a by product; that love is expressed by His presence and by His election.

To say that God is love is correct. To say that love is God conveys little if any meaning as there are nearly 30 definitions of the word love in the English language alone.

God cannot hand out love like candy or convey love as a gift without conveying Himself.

The highest form of human love is self sacrifice for a friend.and such love we testify to at such places as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. God however made a living sacrifice for His enemies.

Whatever our feeble attempts to express the love of God; it must be remembered that His love is not an attribute but His very essence. Like a refiners fire, the Love of God sustains people of faith, conveys mercy and shows His grace. That same love confounds the worldly, consumes the wicked.and testifies to His glory.

Basically what people are saying here, God is the very essence of love. He is All Loving, All Merciful, and All Just, at once. But bad things happen in the world because God also respects our free will to chose to do what we want with our lives. The fallen angels don't have that privilage, they feel the eternal pain of seperation from their Creator always, and its a wonder God allows them to exist with such unimaginable pain. Anyway, besides God being the essence of love, His Divine Will for humanity is love and mercy itself. With our cooperation, God seeks to bless humanity, give it peace, justice, faith, love and mercy for all its sins no matter how evil they were.

One of the natures of God is true love. God's love is a sacrificial/giving love. This kind of love does not expect anything in return.
God expects that all His followers should practice shuc love that does not seek anything for return but delights when others are benifitted through the expression of this kind of love. FOR GOD IS LOVE. And NOT that Love is God.

God is love. Love in our heart for God is the answer to any claim that love for mankind places on us.
