God didn't. Men wrote that horseshit.

The two trees represent how humans sin by going against God. God created the trees to test Adam and Eve, and when you think about it it was the perfect test: put two people in a perfect place and tell them they can do anything EXCEPT touch one thing. He may have known that they would fail from the start, and if he did then he probably made them to represent how humans are impure and flawed. If He hadn't tempted them and they had not sinned then they would seem perfect, which is false.

I hope I communicated that correctly, because I think I've just confused myself.

It was God's purpose that every person become guilty of sin so that He could eventually have mercy on all. Humankind is now, and has been since Adam and Eve, learning the hard way that sin brings misery in many ways. No one will ever be able to brag that they lived a perfect life. Only the Son of God can make that claim.

I believe God created the Tree of Knowledge, because like Adam and Eve we have a choice.

No, he doesn't wanted man to have sin.

The tree of life wasn't forbidden, the tree of knowledge was. He wanted to keep man from the knowledge of good and evil, just like parents wan't to keep their children from porn, violence, racism, discrimination, etc. That kind of information corrupts innocence and taints the heart.

And God felt the need to test Adam and Eve to see if they were worthy of such a paradise as Eden. Obviously they weren't.

That ties in with your question did "He want us to sin?" No, if he wanted us he would starve them and burn every other tree that bears fruit in the garden except the tree of knowledge. There was one tree He didn't want Adam and Eve to go to, but they did anyway.

I guess from the beginning Adam and Eve had freedom of choice, freedom to sin or not to sin.

They chose to sin.

I'm sure if it hadn't been Adam and Eve, somewhere else down the line, someone would have eaten of the forbidden fruit.

Those were 2 trees, the Tree of LIfe, and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Bad. The tree of knowledge of good and bad would let adam and eve know whats good and bad without God teaching them. The tree of knowledge of good and bad, if they ate of it, was symbolic of them wanting independence from God and doing things on their own. It was sinning against God. If they had obeyed him, he would have allowed them to eat from the tree of life, which would symbolize them being allowed to live forever.

You and I tend to think alike when it comes to this question. It is almost like I tell you, "I am placing these delicious chocolate brownies on this super hot stove." Do I want you to have the brownies or do I want you to burn yourself? If God knows everything he should have known not only that Adam and Eve would sin, he should have known Lucifer would turn against him as well. It leads me to believe either God DOESN'T know everything or humans must be some sort of dang on experiment.

Eve sinned and cause Adam to agree with her sin and God never tested but told them what not to do and the two of them just disobey from that lying snake.

I grant this answer. seem on the difficulty of adult males on earth as we communicate. those exist because of the fact guy would not settle for Jehovah as their God. The tree of information exchange into not a tree with intrinsic cost. Adam and Eve already had an concept of information. how many methods on the time of the tree of information have been there for guy to declare we don't % you Jehovah as our God? there exchange into this style for guy to declare we % our very own direction and don't look once you God in any respect, we can do what you stated to not consume from the tree. seem on the outcomes for guy, not a solid pass. could you grant life to a individual who could sell you for his or her very own desires. i would not. guy exchange into offered into our present day situations by using Adam. If we did not have loose will guy could not have executed this. we would do what God stated lots the comparable way a fowl migrates, out of instinct. besides the undeniable fact that God promises his creation a miles better way of life. We purely ought to soak up information of God and see if he does benefit obedience from our heart out of love. it fairly is a closed ideas if a individual did not look at all of the opportunities for a miles better mankind.

what the tree of good and evil really means is the authority of God, when the first couple decided to eat from this tree, what they were really saying was that they did nt want God s authority that they would decide what was right or wrong on there own.
