If everyone was given the choice of:

1)Free will and (arbitrarily) a 50/50 chance of going to hell.

2)A life which guaranteed happiness and fullfillment but did not allow for the option of sin.

Everyone of sound mind would choose 2), so how in the heck can forcing 1) on everybody possibly be doing them a favor??? Explain to me how the people in hell are benefitting from that most generous of 'favors" How dumb must a person be to not see how ridiculous the concept of free will as a 'gift' is! Think, people, think.

Imagine telling your child that she is free to do whatever she wants but if she breaks one of your rules you will lock her in the basement for eternity. Would you consider that a loving parent?

Don't forget satan, he used to be a beautiful angel, and had not sinned, but chose to. To not be able to choose, is just a robot. Think of the relationships of those closest to you in life. Whether your spouse, or child, or best friend. What would it be like, if all that you had together, was forced, because they "HAD" to love you?? It would mean nothing!! It wouldn't guarantee they loved you at all, you would never know! See, there was no option, but when there IS......well, the love is awesome the relationship MEANS something! God is not so different from us, or vice versa, and he wants a relationship with you! Yes, he totally could have forced it, and its funny that we think that he could not have possibly pondered this. The thing is, he is total love, and knowledge, and it probably took him a whole millisecond to throw an idea like yours out the window! I mean no offense, but do you see how stupid it sounds now? Balance this ,with the fact, that we ALL are going to hell, and can choose the way out, and in doing so, happen to get the perks of a relationship with the god of the universe that loves you, in a perfect world. Your number 2 option is a nonexistant option. See, not allowing sin, or the option, would not be perfect, and not guarantee happiness, not even close. I am of sound mind. He makes the rules, and we are lucky he is so nice. He doesn't force anyone into hell, we choose it or not. May I suggest, you are falling for the exact lie, or similar one that satan is best at tempting us with? He did it from day one and is masterful. If he can get you to reject god for ANY reason, he doesn't care which, then he considers it a good day for "hurting" god by taking another to hell with him. Lucky for us, we have the word, and others, like I am sharing with you now, to tell you what is really going on. God does care, he wants you to know it! Take care, and keep on thinking of these good questions. Just be careful of the rampant lies, from the father of lies.

You forgot about the part where it was not man's original nature to sin, but the sin of Adam caused a separation from GOD THEN, man learned the KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL. So think of 1) as punishment and 2) as the paradise which is to come, if you choose it. Of course no one in hell is benefitting. You can't do anything about there being a free will concept. It just IS. I'm thinking, I'm thinking. I love your question. You're an intelligent person and very faithful, too. I hope you get your answer(s).

If I give you a gift of a hundred dollar bill and you choose to wipe your butt with it and toss it in the toilet instead of spending it on something nice, that doesn't make the gift a bad gift. It just makes you a moron for not making the most of it.

The free gift is for one to choose good over evil.

Free will does not exist

Romans 9:18
So then He has mercy on whomever He wills (chooses) and He hardens (makes stubborn and unyielding the heart of) whomever He wills.
