To often people who ask wheter god could stop violence most people say stop blaming him for our HUMAN mistakes. But at the same time when you say something good happened they say God did that (not a HUMAN endeavor, couldnt be) and you must praise him for all the good he does for us. Kinda one sided dont ya think.

See saying stuff like we have been warned about you makes it seem even more silly. Are you calling me the devil. It is what you inferred now isnt it. You don't know me but I will tell you this much, I have never hurt a living thing, I purposely put spiders & insects outside as to not to kill them and I have never intentionally hurt anyone. Do I sound like the devil to you because I ask this question. But hey I guess I can say that GOD made me do it. I have sinned on occasion so I guess I can blame myself for that though.

It's the ultimate Christian guilt trip. Make yourself feel so small and infinitismal, cheap and unworthy. Anything good ever happens in your life, all credit goes to Almighty God and Jesus. Anything bad happens, goes to..... Oops! Not you! Bad is the Devil's fault. Aha! Yet another Christian thing, the Devil. Now you can just say, "the Devil made me do it." So credit goes to God, responsibility for your wrongs goes to the Devil, and you are just a puppet on strings with no responsibility for your own life, good or bad. THAT, my friend, is logic, is it not?

Because God is good. He is all that is good. He is not all that is evil. Satan is all that is evil.

Are you trying to understand something by asking this question or are you trying to prove something? Either way, as long as a person has turned their life over to Jesus and believes that HE is their Lord and Savior, trying to prove something to that person is going to be futile. Even if you see it as silly or illogical, we see it as faith and love. You can keep trying, but it will do you no good. Because we have been warned about you.

You are not looking for the truth to an answer. You are looking for a fight. And being warned about you is referring to how the bible tells us we will be ridiculed and many Christians will be martyrs because of their faith. We have also been told that those who do not love Christ will not help us serve him, instead they will try to turn us away from him.

Oh, and I was not calling you the devil. You are putting words 'in my mouth' so to speak. However, I won't say that you are not doing his work...

What are you really seeking?

We are questioning your beliefs, not ours. Christians always tend to give god credit for everything good that happens because they prayed for it. Well if that is the case then the bad stuff should be on god too.

I personally don't believe that god does any of it, so it is fair to deny the good side. It is also fair to ask you why you don't blame him for the bad, since you are quick to give the credit for the good.

God is wise, knowing that if He is going to judge us, any intervention by Him can be used as an excuse.

It's judgment day for John. John you did this and that and murdered your wife.
John says, well God, if you had intervened like you did for Joe, I would not have murdered my wife.

A bit double sided I'd say. We are responsible for our negative outcomes, and our positive ones.

On a related note, I always wonder why both football teams pray before a game, and at least one player on the winning team thanks God, but you never hear someone on the losing team say, "Hey, God, we practiced a lot and did our best, so thanks for nothing!"

You can't prove Gods existence.
Neither you can prove God doesn't exist.
So, logic don't meld with metaphysics.
You believe or you don't.
By intuition. Never by logic.

Good point. If theists weren't afraid to think, they would get it.
