Thank you asking. One of the wonders of the Bible is that it can be read so many ways. I read it through 2 times a year - not in order with Lev/Num and always find something new.
I choose to divide the week up into topics of prayer/family/healers/gov/friends/church etc. and do the same w the countries on the different continents. I use memorize psalms before my Bible a.m. reading and in bed as I bless/give the benediction to each of my children.

You can, and it can definitely help. For some reason, during the first hardest trial in my life, I turned to the psalms, to read, sometimes aloud, and pray. It was an awful time in my life with no seeming way out. I prayed, and cried, and would read and read. It really really helped me through this time, no kidding. Meditating is a wonderful tool, I hope to learn more about, and what better thing to meditate on day and night than the word of God! Take care, and enjoy those beautiful books. :)
