The Quran is said to be the unchangeable word of Allah. Not one dot or word can be changed. But can I copy and paste the Arabic Quran (from www.islamicity.com) and modify it slightly and then print it out and bind it? Will that invalidate the claim that it is unchangeable?

After each pair of animals on the ark had offspring, who did those offspring breed with?

Each other?

That's incest.

You mean to tell me that every single species on Earth is the product of incest?

That's biologically impossible.

The DNA of every single species on Earth would have been so corrupted 2 or 3 generations down the line that every single animal would have sucomb to genetic diseases and died off in less than one hundred years.

FACT.

If you answer that I am somehow wrong because there is some kind of truth or proof for evolution I want documented proof not well that's what I was taught.

If you fail to provide Proof you show your own ignorance and prove it takes the dreaded faith to believe in evolution.

Why do people rely on popular opinion to determine truth? I recently read the answers to a question called "What do Mormons believe?" I am a Mormon, and I was surprised to find out what I am supposed to believe as a Mormon, according to the things that people who had never set foot in an LDS church. First of all, I do not believe that women are not equal to men (as suggested in one answer to that question) nor have I ever heard anyone preach this in Church; in fact, many talks that are given in Church and by the prophet are about the equality of men and women. All you have to do is ask a current Mormon, and he/she will explain what they believe. Blogs and accounts of former members often give false accounts. People who leave the LDS church often do so based on a misunderstanding, because they rely on second hand sources like many other people. I am not judging. I am just asking you to find out for yourself.

Can Christians who claim that Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus show me where in the Bible it says he was born on that day, December 25th? You don't want to be celebrating his birthday on the wrong day now do you? That would be embarrassing.

10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. (10:34-36)
I came not to send peace, but a sword. ... A man's foes shall be they of his own household."

10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

I'm Hindu. I'm 13. So, a lot of people either believe in God, and not Darwin's theory. I go to a Catholic school, and both of our science teachers who are female, are Catholic, yet believe in Darwin's Theory or Evolution.

I believe that our universe as we know it started with the "big bang." Although I of course do not know the intimate details and much is still not understood about it, I still believe in the general theory. That being said, I no longer believe in a supernatural god that created all things, simply based on the scientific evidence I've seen presented.

If I told myself that I wanted to believe in a god to go to heaven just in case, would that be cheating? If I WANTED to be a Christian but deep in my mind the evidence was telling me otherwise, how you do believe god would treat that?

This to me seems to be like taking a cookie and saying "I believe this is a healthy thing to eat." I, of course, know it is not based on evidence. I want it to be healthy though!

I'd like to hear some standpoints on this. Religious or not. Maybe some religious folks have talked to their leaders about this and have their opinions.

Thanks,
Zach
