I am not sure if you are asking whether animals go to heaven or whether you believe they do not and you are trying to reason on that position by reflecting on the fact they they do not believe in Christ.
Animals were never meant to live forever. They do not have an intellect, cannot worship God and cannot have immortality. Neither is it possible for them to meet the standards necessary for heavenly life.
Even humans are, generally speaking, meant to live on earth - this is our home. Hence, there are only a few - comparatively speaking - who will attain to heavenly life.
So animals do "not have to believe in Christ to go to heaven" because animals do not believe in anybody and do not go to heaven anyway.

If you look at the scheme of things - the way God made his creation - the order in which things were created, you would realize that man was made just a little lower than the angels. We were made to think and produce and have a mind and will. Animals are not made in the same way. There office here was to provide a service of work and finally a delight. We are God's creation in his own image and likeness and we possess what animals do not. I have not read in my Bible where animals 'go to heaven'. Therefore, I cannot respond on that portion of your question. I can only say - that with humans you have the ability to 'confess' with your mouth, the Lord Jesus Christ, believe that God raised Him from the dead and that Jesus is coming back again. This confession and belief in your heart solidifies your right to heaven and to the tree of everlasting life. Nothing else.

As a fox in a humans body, i say most humans are uneducated and ignorant of the possibility that animals can think beyond what they assume they can. We go to a special place called the animal planes, and those that think animals have no souls are just dark spirits pretending to know more than they actually do.

What a great Question! There are NO animals in Heaven.
Revelations 22
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

God gave us the choice, we choose to believe in him, animals don't. Animals, i believe do go to heaven. God gave us the privilege to take care of them on earth.
Not everyone who believes in Christ goes to heaven, your are only saved by The Grace of God. If you are a rapist or murderer, you can still believe in Christ but I doubt you'd go to heaven

Humans were made in the image of God for the purpose of relationship. We were given souls, free will, the power of thought and choice. In Eden, we wouldn't have had to, because there would have been no death. But our sins separate us from God, because God is holy and cannot allow unholiness into Heaven. So we have to have Christ as our atonement for sin. When we accept Him as Lord and Savior, His blood covers us and washes our sins away. All that God sees is His precious and Holy Son in us.
Animals do not have souls. They need no atonement. They are not given the choice between right and wrong. It's what sets us apart from them.

Are you asking why animals don't have to believe in Christ or why people don't have to believe in animals??

God created men and women to the image of himself.
Animals like plants anything has life God created them too, but not to his image
So humans has the promise will be with God his Father in heaven again cause God consider us as his children ( like a baby looks like his father ) , the rest of the planet will be transformed.

Its a superiority complex. Humans believe themselves to be superior to animals, and therefore animals are lesser beings and supposedly have no soul.
