The Quran is said to be the unchangeable word of Allah. Not one dot or word can be changed. But can I copy and paste the Arabic Quran (from www.islamicity.com) and modify it slightly and then print it out and bind it? Will that invalidate the claim that it is unchangeable?

Dear **Smile** I will gladly write a verse like in the Quran, but first you must give the standards by which it is to be judged and who the judges are!
It is easy to claim that something is unchangeable if you claim that if it is changed it is no longer the Quran. Such a weak argument.
True the Bible has been changed. No one is disputing that. But the Quran is written by man as is imperfect.
It is easy to change the Quran. If I change it in such a way it can not be readily detected, will that prove it is of man?
Set the standards and I will either do it or admit it can not be done!

I was thinking about learning Arabic then claiming to be a Prophet so I could change it.
That sure saves me work. Go for it!

,You can personally change the Koran if that's what you really want to do, after all the two bibles have been changed time and time again, lumps removed bits added, and its all accepted and even frequently quoted as 'proof'!
I am 'anti' religion of all denominations, so I have no real Axe to grind, however the Koran was written at the time Mohamed was alive, not about 400 years after his life was over!
The new testament and Jesus, is another matter, that was fabricated from scratch, by who we don't know, but for sure it was not originally written by Matthew, Mark, Luke or John!.
You can even cut and paste and change the American constitution, if you want, why would you want to? I'm sure you would get a few thousand Americans on your tail for that.
I do understand that you are having the 'crack' with this question, but lots of Muslims will not find it amusing, and sorry but I can see that it serves any purpose at all.

I have a better question for you...please answer if you can...
Produce something like the Qur'an...
“Say: "If the whole of mankind and Jinns were to gather together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they backed up each other with help and support.” (Noble Quran-17:88)
"Then let them produce the speech like thereof (the Quran) if they are truthful." (Quran-Chapter 52: Verse 34)
“Or do they say, "He (Prophet Muhammad SAW) invented it (the Quran)?" Say: "Bring then ten invented chapters like unto it, and call whomsoever you can, other than Allah (to your help), if you speak the truth!" (11:13)
“Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it?" Say: "Bring then a chapter like unto it, and call upon whomsoever you can, besides Allah, if you are truthful!" (10: 38)
____________________________
Since then, more than fourteen hundred years have passed, and nobody has been able to meet the challenge, and nobody will, because the Qur'an is the only existing book containing the word of Allah which no man can match or imitate. The most eloquent people in the Arabic language spent years going over and searching the Qur'an, trying to find any weak or inadequate word or sentence, but they could not. They even went further, trying to find a way to substitute a word or a sentence in the Qur'an, hoping to convey a similar meaning as the original one, but they failed to do so.

No. Because the Quran is what God said, not what you write. I am not Muslim, but I can see the flaw in your logic.
