After each pair of animals on the ark had offspring, who did those offspring breed with?

Each other?

That's incest.

You mean to tell me that every single species on Earth is the product of incest?

That's biologically impossible.

The DNA of every single species on Earth would have been so corrupted 2 or 3 generations down the line that every single animal would have sucomb to genetic diseases and died off in less than one hundred years.

FACT.

1.) First, someone tell me how every species of animal, plant, insect, etc. could fit on a boat so small, along with all the food needed to keep them alive--and remember, many animals are strict carnivores and must eat only other animals! Others have highly restricted diets (such as koalas and Everglade kites) and would die without their special food.

2.)The genetic diversity we see today could NOT have occurred within a few thousand years. It needed MILLIONS of years to come to this point. Christians who claim otherwise are ignorant of basic genetics and biology, and if they have Internet access, then they can easily learn it.

3.) For the love of pants, people, GROW UP and stop believing in fairy tales! Noah's ark is just another in a long, long line of ancient myths with no basis in reality. Stop believing what Kent Hovind and Pat Robertson and all those other morons keep telling you and get a REAL education for a change. If God exists, he has no use for idiots.

Actually it is a common misconception that there were 2 of each. If you read Genesis you see that it was 7 of each. This give you a better gene pool.

Besides, line breeding within animals is common even today. Since the first offspring are 1/2 of each parent, you then back breed to one parent and this changes the genes a little more then you go again and pretty soon you can back loop over generations and this brings out dormant traits that change again and so on.

They actually didn't need to. If you research the deluge, this is what you will find:
The Old Testament gives the specifications, given by god, of the Ark. These specifications are not enough to hold the BILLIONS of species of animals, especially when you must have two of each. Also, how is it that none of the animals hunted during these forty days and nights? Shouldn't at least one lion have killed a gazelle? Well, according to Sumerian history and religion, without going into great detail(research it if you want detail), the ark contained the genetic material and the genetic information(a.k.a. DNA). This solves all the questions that the Deluge, or Great Flood presents.

I don't agree with you. First some animals were 7 pairs. Also, since humans had a long life span, it would follow that the animals did too. So this would prove that the genes weren't corrupted very much. Besides, God was in control of this and had it planned out, and it worked!

ANIMALS VS HUMANS.....keep in mind - that even with the process of procreation in the bibical days - the distortions and disease and corruption came about because of man's disobedience. Animals are a by product of this - sin destroys - period. We can spend all day and night in disagreement about species, generational curses, incest - it does not matter. The truth is - when man sinned, he caused the distruction and debasement of all of the world. Satan then had control and through his tricks and deceit (steal, kill and destroy) manages to continue to cause man to be decieved and fall. Only those who truly believe in the Word of God and what it says- will survive even the evil day.

your FACT has some underlying assumtions of uniformitatianism

the animals from that age before the flood could have had more genetic diversity in them selves and also less genetic defects... for the same reason mankind could arise from Adam and Even... or even the three pairs of sons of Noah giving rise to all ethnic groups seen in the one human race, animal species could arise from two animals of each animal type

some animals are in the shallow end of the gene pool now with little genetic variation in themselves such as the cheetah or the panda... but it would be more a case of a single pair of wolf like dogs giving rise to the dog varieties we see today

you present an argument like this, (which is based on limited understanding and lies) yet you would present the theory of evolution as biologically possible??

We are degenerating, getting weaker, sicker and less functional, not vice versa. In the time of Noah, humans and animals were closer to perfection much less prone to disease and dysfunction-

The fact is you are looking at things from what you see today, your mind cannot fathom what we have degenerated from.

True and human beings all came from Noah’s family so we would have been in the same boat (excuse the pun). Not to mention the fact that we were all supposedly the decedents of Adam and Eve. Talk about a THIN bloodline.

The wicked one according to his superciliousness makes no search;
All his ideas are: “There is no God.”

Modern DNA testing is rapidly advancing. Already, by means of it, scientist can trace your ancestry maternally to certain groups (Asian, European etc) and even pinpoint it further than that. Soon they will be able say definitely that all mankind came from a common ancestor. But we already knew this. Only those who refuse to accept any evidence of a creator will be surprised by this. But still they will not believe.
