If you answer that I am somehow wrong because there is some kind of truth or proof for evolution I want documented proof not well that's what I was taught.

If you fail to provide Proof you show your own ignorance and prove it takes the dreaded faith to believe in evolution.

The Big Bang has not met the requirements to be classified as a scientific Theory due to lack of supporting evidence. In the scientific community a method is used to produce a step-by-step process to explain an observation. These are the most common steps; Observation, Question, Hypothesis, prediction, experiment, analysis, decision. When an experiment is proven to be 100% reliable it becomes a scientific Law. This method being referred to is known as the Scientific Method. As Antonio Zamora explains ”The scientific method requires that theories be testable. If a theory cannot be tested, it cannot be a scientific theory”. One might reply to this statement, just because scientist haven’t found proof for the big bang doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. In regards to this cercular logic, if scientists produce documented, testable proof using the accepted scientific method, that the Big Bang is possible, then one can claim the Big Bang to be a scientific Theory.

My, they do seem to get quite irate when you question them, don't they?
Personally, I don't see how watching a bunch of bacteria develop the ability to resist antibacterial medications counts as any kind of evolution. I'd be more impressed if I could see the organisms affected by these bacteria develop a resistance to them. For instance, why are humans still affected by the germs that cause the common cold? Shouldn't we have evolved some sort of protection from those nasty li'l invaders by now?
I honestly don't know just how God created...He may have used evolution as a tool, or not...to me, the important thing is...God did it.

BTW, the kid asked for DOCUMENTED PROOF...not a bunch of insults. ANY idiot can sit behind a computer and tell other people how stupid they think they are. Try actually answering the question for once. Is there any actual DOCUMENTED PROOF for macro-evolution? Or is it based on (the dreaded) FAITH??

Basically, macro-evolution is a projection of the process we see happening in micro-evolution over time periods that we can't sit around and watch. Luckily, some species of animal go through generations quickly enough that we can watch the process play itself out through a large number of generations.

As far as whether macro-evolution involves faith or not, I'd argue yes, in a manner of speaking, but this can go for practically anything.

Let me give you an example - when I got to the coffee shop, and ask for my usual coffee order, I generally know from past experience that I will get this order [with some minor variation, of course]. I am reasonably certain from past experience that I can ask for my coffee without the clerk behind the counter handing me an asparagus instead, or pulling out a gun and shooting me dead. In the hundreds [thousands?] of coffee runs I've made in the past, this has never happened.

So, I'd argue macro-evolution is not blind faith. We do have supporting evidence from observation to support the projections we are making. I think the best label for it is 'sound theory'.

I don't know why you focus specifically on macro-evolution. Can I assume then that you accept micro-evolution and if so can you provide a biological mechanism which would prevent macro-evolution from occuring?

Edit-What question do you want answered? Is this a question about biological evolution or the big bang? Evolution of species is an indisputable fact-the big bang is a seperate matter.

well, that's just wrong... there are plenty of dictionaries and encyclopedias online, just pick any one and look up the entry "theory".

here is your proof; just go straight to the articles that detail what you are stuck on. it's hyperlinked, so you have little excuse not to find the answers you need (desperately)

oh, and if you are talking about the evolutive theory of the cosmos (the current consensus in cosmology), that's a little more shaky but i think big bang is the best guess as of now. also, it's the closest thing to christian creationism that you can hope to get from science, so you ought to just be grateful for what you're getting.

Be Live? Do you mean believe?

No it takes zero faith - science never asks you to take an argument from authority which amounts to 'BECAUSE WE SAY SO' unlike all religious faiths.

You could go look at the fossils, examine DNA, however from your question I think you'd disregard it, even hide yourself from the evidence, it was only put there by satan right, or to test your faith?

You want proof? Go to a museum you ignorant so and so.

First off, I don't *believe* in macro-evolution. But I do see it as an unavoildable mathematical consequence of micro-evolution. Take two populations of a species and geographically separate them for whatever reason. Eventually micro-evolutionary changes will accumulate to the point that they are no longer the same species. Darwin's observations in the Galapagos, while not proof, are certainly very convincing along these lines.

Theoretically, yes, but only on a partial basis since the evidence for evolution is overwhelming. Do keep in mind that macroevolution and microevolution are artifical concepts: macroevolution is microevolution over a long period of time.

If in fact is *IS* "God" just playing tricks on us, does that God really deserve to be worshipped for giving us intelligence simply for his own amusement? That is cruel.

I bet it takes science more than faith. BUT if you have no physical evidence then faith yes.
