Ok, when I ask most educators "why evolution is the only theory we study for the origin of life, and why it is; for that matter, presented as fact, not theory?" the stock answer is "because it's the best thing we have - there are other theories - but they belong in a philosophy class." However in my studies I have found nothing scientific about the theory at all that should make it better than any other. It seems to be a kind of faith. And in my mind (unless proven) also belongs in a philosophy class, So my big question to you is...
-DOSE EVOLUTION BELONG IN A PHILOSOPHY CLASS - OR A SCIENCE CLASS?-

You don't have to, but it would be helpful to me if you could include your: education level, belief system(including Atheism, and Evolutionism), age, gender, and race. I will let the community vote for best answer because of my biest. May the best answer win.

Think about it: Athiests say they KNOW there is no God, but they very obviously cannot have ALL the facts, therefore they are lying to themselves and anyone they tell, when they say, "There absolutely is no God". If they would be absolutely honest, they would have to state only that they "do not know". And that would make them not only more honest, but agnostic rather than athiest.

In my opinion this knuckle head that posted why he hates gays said, "he councils for his church and because someone was molested he hated gays" and never even sent this guy to a professional. This is one more reason I will not go to a church.

Everyone should know by now that it's a lot more politically correct to say "Happy Holidays." Look, not all of us are Christians, and in fact a lot of us resent Christianity. People with half a brain (or manners) should greet people by saying "Happy Holidays", or "Seasons Greetings."

My 3 year old is in a catholic preschool. I have asked them repeatedly to not teach him that santa is real. I have heard other parents, whose children go to public schools, also have this problem. and no matter how many times i tell my son that santa is not real, he come back from school talking about him. i don't want to yank him out because the school has a good acedemic program, and i know that other schools will also promote santa. help!

How sick is this? People like Dylan Avery, Alex Jones, Kevin Barrett, Jim Fetzer are willing to die for there country and are treated like dirt, when people like GEORGE BUSH and DICK CHENEY just want people to die for them, yet they are worshipped and supported. They Carried out 9/11 As i placed in my profole. They are serial Killers and there respected. How sick is that...?

Acorrding to the bible, If you follow the nwo, world government and illumini, which bush is a member of skull and bones, ur heading towards hell when u take the mark of the beast to show ur suppport.

for example, atheists say religion kills. muslims hijack some planes and they think Allah condones killing. Christian extremists bomb abortion clinics, God condones the bombing. Or if a Hindu burns is wife in the back yard, the Hindu Gods condone it. This is not normal behavior...I dont kill and never would. Do they not understand that "religious" people who are intent with murder hate and misery are evil and do not represent their faith? It is almost as if they are passing judgement on everyone else of the religion. These militants are giving their religion a bad name and need to be locked away in asylum away from the public especially little children.

...conceptualize God? How do you think he/she relates to us and the world around us? What is your opinion, I'm just curious?

I'm also assuming many will give me tailored definitions of what atheism means. Atheism attempts to describe a lack of belief in a deity, multiple deities, gods, a sumpreme being, etc. We don't have words for people who do not believe in unicorns (An-unicornism?), but because most of the world is religious, we have to apply a name to these people who just don't believe. Saying, "I believe there is NO god" is a positive atheistic belief. However, saying, "I don't believe in a god" is atheism, although it is NOT a belief, per se. Not believing is not the same as believing there is not something. Atheism is NOT a belief system. By definition, infants, people who have severe mental retardation, and people not aware of a god are all atheists. It's not surprising that irrational, exclusive connotations would come from theists about this.
