I lost my special husband of thirty five years, next month it will be three years. the dead can not see, speak or hear you. anyone who tells u different is a liar. when I have to do something, I ask myself what would my husband do. I hear him in my mind. many nights I still cry and miss him. but we have to go on. thank goodness I have my son who is 25 and my daughter 28 home, even if they are handicapped, they keep me busy. also praying alot to Jehovah and his son Jesus Christ helps me also. I do that all the time and the first thing I do when I get lonely. I remember the good times we had together. and I feel close to him

There are psychics out there but I think ninety percent of them are fake, so be careful. I also think those who have passed speak to you in your dreams. I used to dream about a guy I went to high school with, at least once a year. We weren't close at all, I barely knew him but each year I would dream about him. I always thought he was visiting me, for what reason I don't know, but still it was nice just the same. This may sound corny but you can talk to him anytime you like, just don't expect a verbal answer or any answer at all. Look for subtle hints that he is answering you but be assured that I can almost bet he is listening no matter if you receive an answer or not. I don't know how recent this is but sorry to hear about your loss just the same. And yes I am a believer in the afterlife! =)

You can't. All you can do is pray to God and ask him to relay messages to your dad. I am not sure God will, but that's all you can do. I am so sorry you have to cope without your dad. I hate the thought of losing a parent someday. I can only imagine how tough it is to keep going forward.
Your dad can't hear your prayers, though, because he isn't God. God is a jealous God and doesn't want us treating humans as if they were Him.
Absolutely no where in scripture does it say our dead loved ones can hear our prayers. (if any one disagrees, please quote the verses that tell us to pray to anyone other than God)Jesus commanded us to pray to him-the father, son and holy spirit and no one else.

i went though this 2 years ago and you can't. The faster you realize this the easier it will be for you. You will never see, hear, smell, talk, or feel him agian. The only way to keep him "alive" is though your dreams and heart. I don't mean to be rude and I am very sorry. but you will never properly grieve if you think you will see or talk to him. Sorry again for your loss but you will get though it with help from famley and friends.

Until you get there, you can't.
Luke 16:26 'And besides all this, between us and you there is a great chasm fixed, in order that those who wish to come over from here to you may not be able, and that none may cross over from there to us.'
1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I shall know fully just as I also have been fully known.

First, I am very sorry for loss of your father. May you receive the comfort of the Lord.
Now, what is happening with a person when it dies? Bible says the following in Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verses 5, 6 and 10:
"For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any [thing] that is done under the sun... Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do [it] with thy might; for [there is] no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest."
This is why Jesus, speaking about death of Lazarus in John chapter 11 says, "Our friend Lazarus sleepeth... Howbeit, Jesus spake of his death." (John 12:11-13). The state of death is simmilar to that of sleep. You know nothing, see nothing, like during the sleep. And it's called "the sleep" because of the resurection that will follow at the comming of Jesus - for righteous, or later for unrighteous (Revelation 20:4-6)
Therefore, the thought about speaking to death people is based on one of the biggest deceptions. And because that thing is executed by the pretending demonic spirits in the seances, it was severly prohibited by the Biblical instructions.
Deutoronomy 8:10.11 says: There shall not be found among you... a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. Actually, if you read First Samuel 28:7-21 (only 7 and 8 quoted here) you will see one of those seances described, where demonic spirits pretend to be dead people: "Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, [there is] a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor. And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me [him] up, whom I shall name unto thee." Talking to "dead" (actually demon) was one the last thing that king Saul did. Shortly afterwards he was dead.
So, leave the thought about talking to your beloved death father. It will only expose you to the influences of demonic spirits. Cherish your memories about your father and live a life that will last through eternity by the grace of God.

We all want to beleive we can hang on to those that are gone. Lets say you did feel you contacted your dad, do you really know it is him? If there are 'lonely spirits' they would impersonate others just to feel welcome.
The Bible says you will see them again in Heaven.... or Hell.
If you dont believe in this, your only option is the first, but more likely, if there is no God or Heaven, death is nothingness, just gone, and contact is impossible by Human understanding.

There really isn't a way to do that. Some will take your money and say they are talking to the "other side" but they are not. Sorry for your loss. It may help to talk to him anyway just like he really can hear you. Again sorry.

I wouldn't recommend trying that. There are real dangers to trying to contact spirits. I imagine unbelievers will ridicule this statement, but if you try to contact spirits, demons can try to deceive you by telling you falsehoods or you can become enraptured with such things, and not live your life the way God wants you to, so you never fulfill your potential.

You can talk to him like you talk to us. He will probably not talk back to you, so it's just a hope that our close ones that passed away can see and hear us.
