Read "Evidence that Demands a Verdict" by Josh McDowell
He shows archaeological evidence about real people in the bible.

Also the dead sea scrolls. I recently visited an exhibit on them and there were coins from that era with names like - Pontius Pilate, Herod etc..
Here is a good web site:

The answer is 'yes'.
A small example is that of Pontius Pilate.
His name has been found inscribed on archeological finds.
Re Jesus, Bible scholar Wolfgang Trilling comments:
“The controversy as to whether Jesus ever lived, in other words whether he was a historical figure or a myth, was settled. The question was resolved in a scholarly manner, at least in such a way that serious-minded people no longer see the problem as an academic issue.”
Josephus, a 1st century historian, tells that “the sanhedrin of judges had brought before them the brother of Jesus, who was called Christ, whose name was James.”
Antiquities of the Jews, Book XX, Chap. IX, par. 1
The Encyclopædia Britannica states “The independent accounts prove that in ancient times even the opponents of Christianity never doubted the historicity of Jesus.”
1974 Edition, Vol. 10, p. 145.
The book Moses—A Life reports:
“The biblical account of the oppression of the Israelites appears to be corroborated in one tomb painting from ancient Egypt in which the making of mud bricks by a gang of slaves is depicted in explicit detail.”

there's no authentic actual information that any of the Bible characters existed, countless them (Moses, Samson, Solomon, David etc.) are almost actual mythical. Others from the hot testomony have literary traditions and inspired sects of followers, yet would have had little in ordinary with the descriptions which historic past substances. there became actual no exodus of Hebrews from Egypt, the Hebrews were a canaanite those who first seem as a distinct tribal crew in about 1500 BC.

Archeologists have discovered everything from what they believe to be the remains of st. paul to a burial chest with the remains of Jesus' brother James. Other historical works not canonized in the Bible mention certain Biblical characters. Recent discoveries have also been linked to King David. The fact is, the Bible is the best historical resource we have to that time period.

Much of it is documented by historical writers at the time. Not all. To this day no one has found any evidence that can disprove any parts of the Bible. Some items in the Bible can not be proved in other historical documents but nothing disproved.

Yes, there are outside sources for King David and King Solomon. I have seen translations of writings about King David, some of which called him Messiah, because he brought Israel together (for a time). There are also outside sources for Paul, but nothing for the other Apostles or Jesus outside of the Bible until many decades after the New Test was written. Nothing from their own lifetimes.... that I have found.

Yes, there is. I'm not sure how they find this evidence...its things like murals of people in certain areas, records of stuff, written accounts outside of the Bible, etc. For instance, I don't think they found anything that proves Abraham existed based off of that stuff. That just means they didn't find anything though, he still could have.
Sorry if that wasn't much help...

Yes. There is plenty of evidence that King David, Ramses the Pharoah, King Herod, Pontius Pilate, and many others existed.
