Don't you think the universe is too damn well planned out to be a mere coincidence/accident? Don't you ever wonder that all that you behold in the world is too much of a pre-planned phenomenon to be just a blind twist of nature? I just don't understand your understanding of the world; it's very lifeless.

Because us non believers are partly accused of trying to "take Christ out of Christmas"...

Should people start using TWO pronunciations?

Maybe us non believers should say it as "Chris Miss/Krist Miss" (what we commonly hear) and believers should pronounce it as "Christ Mass" (sounding like the actual two words to reflect what, to them, it really says)?

Just a thought.

13 is the most common number for the age of accountability based on the Jewish custom that a child becomes an adult at the age of 13. However, the Bible doesn't directly support that. It likely varies from child to child. A child has passed the age of accountability once he or she is capable of making a faith decision for or against Christ.
How many of you believe,as I do,that even if the parents don't believe in God,their under the age of accountability children will still be taken in the Rapture?
This is not a scare tactic for those who don't believe. I truly believe your children,grandchildren,great-grandchildren ,if under the age of accountability, will not be held responsible for your unbelief and will therefore rise to Heaven during the Rapture.
That day will be a day of joy unspeakable for the believers, but a day of unspeakable horror for those whose children will disappear.

Not the everyday miracles-- sunsets, baby's laughing.... I appreciate these things but I'm talking Biblical miracles....Seas spliting, food multiplying....

Do you believe these things happened? If so, are they still occurring? Are we ignoring them?

Scientists are always telling us how 'elegant' so many natural systems are. How is that possible in a universe based in Chance? Why would natural laws be 'elegant'? HOW is this possible without a guiding intelligence???

This is something I never understood. In America we are supposed to have separation of Church and State... yet gay marriage is not allowed because the Bible states marriage is between a man and a woman?

I'm not against either side here, I'm just curious and want to know why this is.

Sincere answers, please.

Hello, I am a Christian man, yet for the past 3 to 4 years I have been struggling against spirits that actually move up and down throughout my body. They afflict me off and on, and are just a general hinderance. I have sought help, but physcologists, write them off as a disease even though I tell them that they actually move up and down my body. The bible has many accounts of demonized people, yet I go on the internet and I cannot find one helpful testimony of an individual who has gone through demonization. Has anyone out there expeirenced demonization or am I the only one!!!

Is organized religion a good thing? Wouldn't the world be more peaceful is there was no such thing?

Personally, I think that organized religion is unneccesary. It is all man made... all the rules and beliefs. Do we really need to belong to a church to go to heaven?

Please.... share your thoughts with me... I don't know what to think....

I've heard some Christians don't celebrate Easter because it's a celebration of the Goddess Eostre, or Halloween because it's Samhain, or Christmas because it's Yule. I can understand not wanting to participate in pagan celebrations when it's not your bag. But what do you call the days of the week?

Or the months, for that matter (Okay, July through December are all safely secular, but the other ones? Janus, Freya, Mars, Aphrodite, Maya, Juno.)?

People say that God is a very loving figure, that he loves all of us. But then, why do people hold up signs that say "God hates gays"?

I also heard preachers say to "Fear God". Why fear? Why not respect?

Jesus was born during the Jewish feast of Tabernacles, Sukkot.
It is happy celebration and a time of joy and rejoicing. Jesus is our joy. This makes sense.

The Feast of Tabernacles, also called Booths, comes on the fifteenth of Tishri (September-October), the seventh month according to the Jewish (biblical) calendar.

Why? John the Baptist was born during Passover. The angel Gabriel came to Mary to tell her about Jesus in Elizabeth's six month of pregnancy. (luke 1:36)

So three months later John the Baptist was born. Add 8 days for the Passover celebration. Then 6 months less 8 days later, you are SMACK in the middle of the feast of tabernacles. A feast of Joy, comes Jesus. That is why all the rooms were gone in Bethlehem too.

PLUS, the Christmas day and the tree are all Pagan of origin and have nothing to do with Jesus. (Jerimiah)

It is NOT wrong to celebrate Christ's birth any day. Just trying to let you know, he was born in the feast of joy! PRAISE HIM!
