Good questions! Do you read those magazines when they supposely tell every secret of a celeb? They think they know but don't have a clue about God or his nature! Listen God loves the person but Yes hates Sin! Don't mistake the actions of actors for the real thing!
P.S. Fear God doesn't mean to be afraid of him it means to respect him or revenence him

The people holding the signs are the ones that hate gays. God hates homosexual activity. He does not hate the people caught up in this abominable sin.
We certainly should fear God, for He and He alone has the power to give life and to take it away forever. For a child, it is good to have a certain amount of fear of the parent. For without this, the child would soon be into every imaginable trouble you can think of. It is no different with our Father that is in Heaven.
He loves us no matter what we do, but if we continue to cling to sin, when the time comes for God to destroy the sin, we will be destroyed with it. Not because He wants us dead, but because we wanted sin more than life. It's our choice, and He won't take the choice from us. That's how much He loves us.

Hate is a part of God's character. He hates sin because he sees it in all its horror. We do not share this insight into the horror of sin which is why culture makes sinful behavior look normal. It is actualy to our benefit that God can hate sin. If God only loved and never hated sin, he could not be a just God. Even our own laws and goverments understand the necessity to put down deviant behavior. What would happen if judges refused to punish criminals because it was not very loving? Society would soon collapse. But some error grossly when they try to communicate God's hatred for sin. Like the bigots who hold up God hates fags signs. Though Jesus did exhibit very clearly during his short 3 year ministry his strong disapproval of sin, he also make it clear his main purpose for coming was to bring a message of good news, that the God who hates sin so much he must condemn sinner has also provided a way for those sinner to avoid the condemnation. He extended grace and love where punishment was deserved. That is where the sign pickers have fallen off the wagon. They see God as only a God of hate. How silly is that. Do we think of people in such one sided terms? Of course not. We know that we ourselves are capable of both hate and love.

Well, the Bible tell us to fear God. Check this passage out... Leviticus 25:17.
I dont have a good answer about God hating gays. However, it is clear in the Bible that being gay is not part of God's plan for us. Sure, we have free will, but in the end we all need to be accountable for our actions and choices. Check these verses out, Leviticus 18:22, and Leviticus 20:13.
God is a loving God (He sent His son as the ultimate sacrifice), but when we go out against His will, He might punish us, so we get back on track.
These are not easy questions, but these are my 2 cents.

Those people holding up the signs are lying and giving real Christians a bad name. God does not hate anyone. If He did there is no way He would have sent His Son to die for us all and He did just that. He died for gays, drunks, druggies, adulterers, atheists, murderers, child molesters - EVERYONE! God hates sin. Homosexuality is a sin. So does God hate gays? No. God hates their sin and He does not accept it or allow it BECAUSE OF that great sacrifice He gave (His Son) so that they could overcome and be forgiven of that sin.
We "fear" God the same way we feared our fathers when we were young - out of a natural respect for his authority. That doesn't mean we don't love him and/or He doesn't love us. I love my earthly father and always have but I still have that "fear" or respect for him.

Fear is to respect. That's the kind of fear we should have. And no God doesn't hate gay people. Hate the sin not the sinner! Also I want to say that in Gods eyes no sin is greater than another. Since we are all sinners, even Christians and they sin everyday whether they believe it or not, God hates their sin as much as he hates gayness or whatever you call it. He hates noone, just the sins. So if a Christian says you are going to Hell based on the fact that someone is gay, then they will go to Hell for their sins they commit if God sent people to Hell for sin. I wish people would remember that!

God loves people. God hates sin. Some people blur the line between these two ideas. God does love you.
The word "fear" in the Bible means more of a reverent respect, more so than being scared.

He hates sin and loves the sinners. How can He love sin? it's contrary to His nature. He can not hate His own children.
Fear of God is to respect Him and honor Him and fear to trespass His holy commandments. But fear comes when we make wrong choices and we have face the consequences.

God love sinners, He hate sins. God do not hate gays, they are one of the reason He sent Jesus to died on the cross.
In the old testament it was written as "fear God". When Jesus used the same verse during the temptation of Satan, He change the word "fear" to "worship"..... worship your God. If so then the actual meaning should be what was interpreted by Jesus....WORSHIP.
