It may be that some groups of monkeys evolved into humans and went downhill from there, while other more fortunate monkeys remained monkeys. Such is the course of evolution.
Some evolve and some don't, depending on their environments; and humans haven't evolved much for a long time.

..things such as missing a plane that ended up crashing, a loved one who was miraculously healed while being IN A HOSPITAL in most cases etc. etc. - we've all heard these stories - yet turn around and say that he doesn't intervene in matters such as genocide, war and natural disasters?

Ego? Blindness? What exactly causes people to believe such things?

what websites or books can I go to to find out. I have visited a "Protestant-Christian" type church where there is not a board / deacons or elders.....nor any oversight of what the pastor does. The pastor makes all the decisions about how to spend the money.

But I am very curious as to why people refuse to accept a FREE gift of love and everlasting life. What is it that they are afraid of?? All Christ wants to do is love them and He even died for each one of us!!! I just want to know why people turn away from God!!

i noticed whenever people heal for terrible accidents or dont die during a disaster, its called a miracle. But in all those circumstances their chances are very low, maybe 1:100,000- so when that slight chance happens its doesnt seem to a "miracle" because once in a long while it is supposed to happpen. OR. is the way people use the word miracle just supposed to mean "getting really lucky"?

On the face of it, you'd think - well all tasks. But many tasks you can do whilst thinking about something else. Walking, riding a bike, doing the washing up, all examples requiring dexterity but essentially can all be done subconsciously. To put the question another way, will all tasks be able to be done by software in the future?

Many of us Americans buy from wal-mart which supports the chineese government. Their government is responsible for the death of over 1.2 million Tibetans. Also their government is reasponsible for genocide of their own people. They still continue to destroy Tibetan culture. Why doesn't our so called "christian nation" do anything about it? I mean, isn't our christian religion against this? Then why do we care about how much we can save at wal-mart over peoples lives?

It seems as though some people will not believe evolution is happening until a complete history of every animal is found fossilized. Of course we have hundreds of 'intermediate' species connecting the dots, but not all. Forensic, geographical, biological, etc, etc....evidence but still they deny it.

Why then do you believe in a god and a 'theory' of creation based on a total lack of evidence? Why is there this double standard when it comes to something that you want to be true, and something you don't want...but it is...to be true?

I do! 21, same as drinking. I mean really, if you're not responsible yet to control yourself with alcohol (as far as the law sees it) then why are you mature enough to raise another human life? Doesn't make ANY sense to me!

please don't go on about HOW they would control my new theory on "underage mothers", we could argue forever.

Please just say your oppinion on trying to set an age limit. And why you think someone is responsible enough to raise a kid and not have a beer. (don't bring up military soldiers can die for their country and not drink. Unlike young mothers, we get training to do our jobs and to be responsible)

If we raise our voice as one.

I personally do not believe in an afterlife or a "god" of any kind. I am a very scientific thinker that way... I believe that when you die everything shuts down, your body stops, brain activity stops, heart stops... so nothing can run anymore and you die. That's it...

but I would really like to know what everyone else thinks happens when you die.... so please.... let me know.....!
