Good for you. Keep looking for God and your relationship will enrich beyond measure. Do not take heed to those that have struck with venom. Spelling is not important when you are trying to get across a point or a feeling. My Dad had little education and I cherish every card he writes and he knows he will not suffer needless abuse.
As for the Romans bully for them, but God freed the Hebrew slaves and no number of false gods in Egypt could stop him. No one said God brought down the Egyptian empire, unless you think God had enough of them and used Romans to bring them down.

Did you know that this is a mythological story, and that Pharoah is spelled the way I just did??

The Pharoah's downfall was the military strength of pagan ROMANS, not due to your mythological God. Did you know that? Obviously not....
