Some books are interesting, in that they are historical fiction, meaning that the story is untrue, but it is set in real historical places, and may contain some historical facts.
The DaVinci Code is a fictional story inside a fictional story with a lot of guessing, based on some historical facts and places. The book or movie may lead someone who does not understand the bible or is not a Christian to be confused about what is true and what is false. I think the only value is if it inspires someone to want to study the history of the Knights Templar, or the history of the Catholic church. But be careful what you believe, because this story has little to do with Christianity, and I would question anything in the daVinci Code.
