Think about it, it really doesn't add up, God wants us to remember, worship and praise him for no apparent reason since God is everything and does everything. Why would God care about us loving him and worshipping him all day? Wouldn't God rather see us living out our lives on earth doing cool and new stuff, questioning his motives for amusement, and surprising him with unpredictable acts?

Think about it, God wants praise? Why? God knows what he's capable of....when people here on earth ask for praise, it's usually a sign of self-reassurance to feel good about who they are because these individuals are insecure on who they are.....If God needs praise for reassurance, doesn't that make God insecure? and if God is insecure, doesn't that kind of make you worry whats in store for the universe if the designer is paranoid needing reassurance constantly?

From there Elisha went up to Bethel. While he was on his way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him. "Go up baldhead," they shouted, "go up baldhead!" The prophet turned and saw them, and he cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two shebears came out of the woods and tore forty two of the children to pieces. (2 Kings 2:23-24)

And, if it's only symbolic, why would any God use such a barbaric example?

...If the Bible is not your guidebook for life, how do you arrive at standards for right and wrong, moral standards, and sound doctrine?
...If you believe the Bible only contains the Word of God, how can you tell what is His word and what is not His word?

For us to treat our MOTHERS and SISTERS in our family with LOVE in order for us to prepare to LOVE our future wife correctly even if our MOTHER and SISTER don't give the RESPECT back to me. Is God waiting for me to perfect this, so he can bring me my helper?

If we stopped deviating into no sense and stood out of confirmed stupidity, perhaps we could find the source of what radically affects our dimension and scope of comprehension......

When you look through most of the questions on this forum that are about Christianity or the Bible, very few of the answers quote or reference the Bible. People just provide their opinions without Scriptural support. What's up with that?

Many people dislike the fact that religions have been killing each other over what god to believe in. I say, let them kill each other. Its survival of the fittest, the dumb ones die and the smart ones stay.

We are catholic. We dont attend church on a regular basis. Accualy we dont attend church on a basis at all. I had my son 3 weeks ago and never thought about baptizem. Last night I was talking to my parents and they brought it up. I told them I wasnt going to do it. They were really upset and told me that they would sneek my son to the church if I didnt do it. My boy friend is not religious at all, and I dont even know how to approch him with such a serious thing. I have never even known my boyfriend to walk into a church. I would emagine that both parents have to be presant at the time. Any thoughts opinions?

The belief regarding SALVATION and the means to RECEIVE IT vary enormously even among various CHRISTIAN-PROFESSING RELIGIONS...

Humans, apes, guinea pigs and some fruit bats all share a disability. They are all unable to biosynthesize ascorbic acid (Vitamin C). Other mammals can do this so why not us and these others? Lack of ascorbic acid results in an afliction called scurvy which causes you to bleed from the soft membranes in your mouth and *other* parts and ultimately results in death.

The gene to code the enzyme responsible (L-gulono-γ-lactone oxidase) for synthesis exists in humans and other primates, as it does in other mammals (except guinea pigs), but it is damaged or disabled so it specifically cannot do anything.

So why would God do this? Is it a result of original sin? Why did he specifically only give this disability to a select group of mammals?
