Making fun of a bald prophet...
Hey, it's in the book...
Isn't it interesting that a Buddhist can recognize a Biblical allusion while several Christians cannot?

She's not talking about abortion, guys. She's talking about 42 kids being shredded by a pair of bears because they made fun of a guy's bald head.
So to repeat the question: What crimes justify children being torn apart? If there aren't any, then how is the tale of the two bears and the children acceptable in the minds of Christians?

About 948 to 848 BCE Elijah and Elisha were on their missions for God.
God had just before this, came down in his own chaiot and lifted Elijah up 2Ki.2:11; and delivered him to a safe and secret place to write [ a letter came 4 years later 2Chr.21:12-18 ], for he had been in danger.
Now Elisha is out in the field where he can be in danger of a mob or gang of 42, did they not have any thing any better to do than harrass an old person, child in the bible means age 25. Gen.21:14,15 Ishmael is age 19. [ What if one was your child, do you allow your 19-25 year old to be in a mob or gang and harrass old people ????? ].
Gen.34:12,14,17,21,22,25,26,29,30;
Jacob's two sons were about age 25 and 26 when they wiped out all the men of Shechem. They destroyed their sisters soulmate and his family, if two [ 2 ] as a mob or gang can do that much damage, what can 42 in a mob or gang do.
There needed to be a stop put to 42 in a mob or gang.
They were just about as loathing of the laws of the land as Sodom and Gomorrah, and when those that loath the law out number the ones that uphold the law, THE KEEPERS, DESERVE HELP FROM THE LAW GIVER.
MOBS AND GANGS WILL TEAR PEOPLE APART FOR THE DOLLAR THEY DON'T HAVE.

So many of the above answers are scary examples of christians immorality. They are genuinely STUCK on "how can we justify god behaving so horribly?" and since they are stuck, the trot out abortion. This has NOTHING to do with the quesiton she asked. It's just smoke and mirrors.
They're not even listening to what they're saying. They're comparing the morals of a god (whom they worship) to a person who aborts in the last trimester. And GOD IS LOSING!!!
Oi! And to answer you question, to the bible god, the only one I know that deserves bear-mauling is teasing a dude about being bald. If you sass your parents, however, the town should gather together and chuck rocks at you until you die.

Friend, True Christianity does not commit such crimes, Only the Muslims is the ones that are beheading people & hiding behind little children & letting the little children get shot while we are trying to kill the enemy, Have you ever wonder why Muslims hide behindlittle children as a cover.

I think that you are so hell bent on not believing in God that you can't stand other people believing in God. If we don't put you down please don't put us down. I'm sorry but I can't say that I understand children being ripped apart alive or what it's like to be on fire, or what it's lie to live in a war torn country. That's what our world is. Look into the crisis in Sudan sometime. But, you're just trying to put down people's beliefs and I don't think that's okay.

Are you referring to abortions????? NO Christian can justify tearing a baby from a womb, bit by bit, piece by piece.
Are you referring to small children being killed? NO Christian can justify the killing (murdering) of small children or any other human being.
NO Christian would do these horrible things, either, including doctors and other medical personnel.
I DO understand that there ARE situations where decisions MUST be made to save lives. Good luck. Pops

According to the common christian belief, anyone who does not comply to their religion, whether given a chance or not, is deserving and subjected to such punishment for an eternity by the hands of the most humble and merciful and loving and forgiving creature that has ever existed.

You are looking for a crime, but perhaps you are looking for the wrong thing. Maybe a starving parent would justify it?
