If the bible is the word of God and is 100% correct how come in the gospel of Luke and Matthew they write two diffirent bloodlines for Jesus. Both cannot be correct but if the bible is God's word they must. How can that be?

November 2, 2006 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
From New Life Church, Colorado Springs, Colorado - Rev. Ted Haggard, Senior Pastor of New Life Church, stated today that he could "not continue to minister under the cloud created by the accusations made on Denver talk radio this morning." He, therefore, placed himself on administrative leave, pending investigation, spiritual counsel, and a decision by the church's board of overseers. Pastor Haggard said, "I am voluntarily stepping aside from leadership so that the overseer process can be allowed to proceed with integrity. I hope to be able to discuss this matter in more detail at a later date. In the interim, I will seek both spiritual advice and guidance."

Pastor Haggard also resigned today as President of the National Association of Evangelicals."

I don't know if this is another Jimmy Swaggart scenario or not. If so, maybe these guys should wake up to the dangers of obsessing over everyone else's sex life?

I'm not asking here about verses to prove Jesus was God... But: ..
Did Jesus FEEL as God? ..
Did he BEHAVE as God? ..
Did he THINK as God? ..
Did he KNOW as God? ..
Did he ACT as God? ..
Did he TALK as God? ..

I cannot digest the theory that Jesus was keeping switching between God/man moods .

Not that it really matters all that much to me one way or another. I'll keep answering questions the way that I see fit.

I am a Christian. I believe that Christ is the Son of God and my personal Savior.

BUT I don't believe everything in the bible. Especially in the Old Testament. Adam and Eve? It's just a story used by people thousands of years ago to explain how they came to be. Noah's Ark? There is no possible way they could have gathered up all of the animals on the earth.

And I notice that when I answer questions from people regarding some of these issues, my answer gets rated 'low'.

What are you bible-thumping Christians afraid of? A person with genuine thoughts that actually considers using his brain to answer questions instead of cut/pasting scripture? Heaven forbid that someone use their God-given gift of reason to find out for himself what is the truth NOW, and what was the truth thousands of years ago without the benefits that modern science gives us.

Ex-Muslims are facinating.

While Muslims have the highest illiteracy rates in the world, and (despite massive oil wealth) the highest abject poverty rates in the world (see UNDP Mid East Report), Ex-Muslims are some of the most intelligent and brave people in the world.

The reason isnt so hard to understand. You see, for people in free or non-islamic cultures, you can leave your religion, and at worse have to endure only an occasional nagging from your mother.

In Islamic culture, its totally different. Youre guarenteed, 99.999% of the time, to lose "all" your family. This is no exagerration, at all. Now, before a few of you get any racist ideas, understand, this is entirely due to Islamic doctrines, and has nothing to do with race.

Its not that arabs, or any of the few racial demoniations in Islam, have turned off natural paternal instincts that even animals have, its that Islam programs them in such ways.

The Islamic scripture tells Muslims to reject & kill apostates.

From my understanding, the word "Baptize" comes from a root word that means Immerse. And, I know for a fact that Catholics used baptize by immersion like many churches do today. I saw personally saw the two oldest Catholics Baptismal fonts in France, and they were for immersion not sprinkling. Also, why would Jon the Baptist bother going into the river Jordan to baptize if it wasn’t by immersion. I mean no disrespect, just curious.

Well, i was surprised in spanish literature the other day, when i discovered that Don Quijote sommits suicide via starvation, in order to meet his beloved Dulcinea. Many religions fast, in Christianity we do it usually to create a closer relationship with the Lord, as it is seen as a self-sacrifice, a sacrifice of one of the most vital things to a man, food. Now were a Christian to fast in an incorrect manner, he would harm his body, and thus violate a Biblical command of caring for one's body, which is a holy temple. Does anyone have any experiences dealing with fasting? Has anyone ever been in an actual state of starvation?
