Otterhey, Folks! With all this talk about this law and that, which would you rather follow? Would you rather follow Jesus' example with the Beatitudes (Blesssed are the Peacemakers...) or would you rather follow the Levitican laws?
For this question you can only choose one and please give your reasons as to why.
Serious answers only and no bashing anyone else. Thank you.

No, I'm also not certain where PappaMac came up with that. That's not where the question was going.

I would rather follow the Beattitudes.

Because it tells you the way in which your attitudes should be.

Beatitudes, mainly because if we choose(as Christians) the laws of Moses(that is the book of Leviticus) then we are really really really lacking. Plus Jesus is probably the best example to follow for anything, eh?

I LOVE the beatitudes it is one of my favorite passages in scripture.

Blessed means happy and I am very happy and joyful also the beatitudes talk about godly attributes we need to have to BE happy and it as nothing to do with money or material things.

As for bashing other people I don't do that it gets me nowhere and it keeps me from being truly happy and content in God.

I would rather follow Jesus who gave the beatitudes on the sermon of the mount.

Beatitudes!!! Besides, technically speaking the laws of the Levitical priests were done away too.

Beatitudes, any day. I don't understand PapaMac's comment - what is that all about?
Leviticus described the sacrifices and rituals that were all accomplished in Christ. They don't teach me how to live the Christian life.

Beattitudes

I have a chance of actually living up to them even though they are not easy to achieve. The Levitical laws are near impossible to remember let alone live by for a whole lifetime. I know that there are sects of Judiasm who try or do but that is beyond my ability.

in your question "If you had your choice" is a more important question that the one you asked, since we can not choose who will be our father or mother, your quote IF is a dream word because it allows you to image all things but though with out the means of achieving is worthless. I would choose neither but I don't have that choice

well i would have to say that jesus said that he did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill the law and since jesus is the fulfillment of the law i would rather move forward in life than move backwards.
