No there is nothing wrong with it, but just be careful what you ask for. If your relationship with this girl was unhealthy or not good, then there is a reason why the Lord took her out of your life. She might not be the one you are supposed to be with. Just pray and ask God for an answer. He'll always answer, but it isn't always what we want to hear. God Bless.

It is never wrong to pray, especially for something good.
I don't know why you are not with your girlfriend now, but if she left you for another man, then you have to consider that she will not be faithful to you forever even if she does come back.
If you two had a falling out and separated as a result, it would really depend on whether it would be in both of your best interests to get back together.
I can see that you miss her, but do you love her with true love or with lust?
All of these things make a difference as to whether getting her back is a good thing or a destructive thing.
God will only approve of a moral relationship, so if it is not a moral relationship, God may not help you by bringing her back. However He sometimes gives you not what you ask for, but something better.

This is what I would suggest. Pray for God's Will to be done and not your own. God's Will is Holy and perfect., so even if you do not receive what you pray for, when you pray for God's Will to be done in your life and not your own will, then what you get will be what is truly right for you. Even if what God gives you is unexpected or surprising, it will always be the best thing of all for you, and you will not regret it.

Yes it is wrong because praying is not an active step to something materialistic.
Praying is an act of wishing, requesting and concentrating the energy of your mind on making a currently difficult or maybe impossible thing come true.
In your case, you need to move forward to some new situation.
Trying to get your girlfriend back is basically like you are reversing the course of your life to live in a past that has already ended.
If she wants to join your moving track, she will have to make an effort, but do not stop yourself WITH THE HOPE that she is still there waiting. She has moved forward already.

I think you have to figure out what you really want. While it's debatable whether or not prayer works ;-), prayer is nevertheless generally a deep spiritual practice, so, in my opinion, it's not something to waste on something you don't really want. Was your relationship really fulfilling to you? Is there a good reason why she left you? If there was a petty reason, do you want someone back who will leave you for a petty reason? I think you should answer these questions before you pray for her return. If you decide instead that it wasn't really the best relationship, you'd probably be better off praying to meet a really good girlfriend who's compatible with you.

it's best otpray that God's will be done - if it means she comes back then so be it, if not, you're better off moving on. a friend sent me a magnet - funny it reads only one way, however i've read it both ways:
it says:
never place a period where God has placed a comma.
when it first arrived how i read it was:
never place a comma where God has placed a period.

i was in a relationship at the time and was pounding in the comma with all my might - i realized it after reading the magnet and we broke up shortly there after. about 6 months later i really read the magnet again and it says the first one. it was really weird but it was as if I needed to read/hear/know - the relationship was going nno where.... it's better for us both!

Will it be like a voodoo prayer or the ordinary Christian prayer? Whatever it is..... maybe the best is to be near her and tell her how much want her to be with you. Tell her you love her so much and ask her to come back. A prayer is only effective if it is supported with actions. If she does not come after all your efforts then maybe it is meant to let her free and you have to move on. Voodoo chants may help but to know if it will last is something ou have to consult the one who has the authority to do that.

I am sorry for your loneliness.

Prayer is effective; however, we should remember to pray for God's will to be done in our lives. Perhaps that girl is not in God's will for you, eventhough she may seem to be to you at this moment. He may have something much greater in store....a different girl....or a different career...or a calling of a much higher kind.

Pray with an open heart for God to show you his will in your life. He will fill the empty space in your heart.

Peace be with you!

P.S. Ever hear the song "Thank God for Unanswered Prayers" by Garth Brooks? If not, search the lyrics.

yes, because if the relationship was a blessing from God , you would still be together. The lord never closes a door before having one waiting to be opened. If it was meant to be it will. Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust not on your own understanding ,but believe in the Lord and he shall direct your path!

I would pray for God's will, he knows what u need and sees all things before they happen. If she does not return to you God may be sparing you from being hurt, u never know. Either way i wish u the best, and i hope you find your true soul mate.
