Like Ignatius, Polycarp, Iranaeus, Justin, Theophilus, Athenagoras, Clement, Tertullian, Cyprian and up to the present Pope.

Do these men can produce the passages for their doctrines of Apostlic Successor?

These men cannot prove their authority by speaking in tongues, prophesying and working miracles as mention in 2 Cor. 12:12

"Only" the apostles and prophets were made in this manner and they also could speak in tongues, prophesy and work miracles but could not pass the power to others as mention in Acts 8:4-6, 14-19.

They are "not" the chosen ambassadors who were selected to deliver God's message or "the faith" to mankind as mention in Eph. 3:3-4; Jude 3.

I've found out that these men don'y read and study the bible. When the Apostles and Prophets approached their deaths they did not give successors to take their places.

Paul said concerning the gospel, "It has been preached to every creature under heaven..." Col. 1:23.

What do you think?

I am on my spiritual journey and have an open mind , I have enquired about things, I have asked questions about God, religions, Jesus , LIFE,life after death, existance and so forth.
I assume we are all here to learn, but several times I get treats.
I had asked a simple question , you can check for yourself, and someone answered to me " well since you do not believe in hell when you get there ask SATAN. I believe in Jesus teachings even if I do not belong to any religion.
I just do not understand why do so many Christians instead of teaching about God and love and peace they come here insulting
other people and tell them they will go to hell just because they do onot belong to that religion. Why can't they understand they push people away from their faith with all those treats?

If we're in it, and part of it, how can we view it with unbiased eyes to see the truth behind it - to see it for what it really is? Or is it subjective by its very nature because of our consciousness?

I have friend who claims she is a Muslim. She frequently wears sleeveless shirts and skirts up to her knees, and she never covers her head. Is this against Islamic teachings? If so, wear does Islam say it is forbidden. She still dresses modestly by Western standards, but I thought Muslim girls were supposed to cover their arms and legs.

Christians do u believe in creationism? (the belief that the earth is just 6-10,000 years old) or Evolution (the belief that the earth is billions of years old?) and why? also i believe in creationism b/c in the book of genesis it says that adam and eve were made only days after all the other animals/dinosaurs was made (not billions or millions of years), and i believe in creationism for another reason...it seems to me personally that evolution has become like a religion almost to most ppl, not a religion like they worship a god, but close for example: on the discovery channel when a scientist talks about how the earth is ''billions'' and ''billions'' of years old, or a specific creature that has ''evolved'', they always say that ''evolution'' has equipped this creature with (blah) (blah), so that's why i believe in creationism, so christians why do u believe in creationism/evolution? also for the evolutionist out their i don't mean to batter evolution, it's just my opinion.

rather than just trying to get a rise out of one another.
the beauty of this site is that there are folk of all faiths and we are all discussing interesting stuff. but the more stupid and rude questions are asked, the less folk will come back.
not all aetheists are rude
and not all christians are self righteous
in fact not all buddhists are peaceful
and not all muslims are rigid.

Oh, and my question is: what is your religion?
point? to see how mant different types there are here.

According to the synoptics, none of the 11 remaining disciples witnessed the crucifixion. But Mary Magdalene was there.

What does this say about Mary in comparison with the 11 who did not attend?

You know, someone to follow you around, someone to talk with even though you can't see them, someone to cry with when you feel all alone, someone to blame for not stopping at that red light, or who gave you that really bad haircut with the safety scissors?

I'd have chosen a better name though... like maybe Herman, or Fred, or Bo-Bo.

"Oh my Bo-Bo!"

"Bo-Bo dammit!"

"Oh, for Bo-Bo's sake!"
