I have heard time and time again that the good die young. I am just curious as to why!!?

I don't want to die young because I still have to help people, it almost makes me want to act bad so I don't die.

I have this theory that they manifest there own deaths with there own thoughts.

Has anyone known someone in the past that was a really good person and, all of a sudden they passed away?

Anyone that doesnt believe in God, then reads the bible will find more ways to defend that idea. Have you ever seriously asked God to come in to your life for a time, and didnt get an answer, so it made you know there was no God?

And yes, I know they're still just people but C'MON! It's one thing to make the occasional slip up but jeez. In all honesty I just want an educated answer because it does puzzle me how this can occur, assuming that priests are TRULY ordained by God.

If you pray to "it", does that make it a God? Many Catholics, right or wrong, pray to the Virgin Mary and to Saints. Does that mean the Virgin Mary is a God? Ancient Greeks prayed to Demeter for the harvest, but recognized Zeus as the most powerful God. Isn't that very similar the Catholics praying to the Virgin Mary for protection but recognizing "God" as the most powerful God?

This is the idea that there are some creatures that are so complex that if a part were removed during the evolutionary process then the whole system would stop working. I was wondering if there is a counter argument to this, just so I can see both sides of the debate...

....isnt evolution your religion?
Look at it this way. I believe God made everything in 6 days. You believe all the matter in the universe came together in a big bang, and it took BILLIONS of years, maybe even TRILLIONS, and poef here we are. So I believe God, my religion, you believe dirt, evolution, your religion. Whats the diffirence? I believe, and you believe.

I have seen the word god be distorted, and misused that it has lost it's meaning. Most christians in which has given christianity such a bad name use god as a way to convey fear, and guilt for being who we are. They subject people with promises and ridicule others for not believing in those promises. Athesits because of this if someone uses the word god, i have found you too also generalize this as being a word that chrisitians you to brainwash.
And I would agree that most atheists are intelligent people who do not conform to the ways of society, but it is through a rebellious nature, or of one from love? When I say god, I mean everything within, and cannot be defined, because another man can only define his own heart, not the hearts of others.
So I ask the question is god a higher source within, and beyond that is just a word to define something that cannot be defined?

During Jesus's time without all the advances in technology and the lack of history to learn from, people have had to be extremely gullible right? I beleive so. These days nobody believes it till they see it. With that in mind, if Jesus wasn't born until today and made his worldy appearance in 20 years would people believe him to be the messiah? My point is...is it possible that Jesus was just a crazy guy who believed himself to be the direct descendant of God and people of those gullible times got sucked into the entire facade? Do all you born agains really believe that Mother Mary was a virgin? Or is it possible that she got pregnant before marriage and lied about it because she didn't want to be labeled the town slut? Do you people really beleive all the STORIES in the bible to be true such as: moses spitting the sea, Jesus healing the blind. I need answers as to why people can still be so gullible.

We can see that everything that God has created goes in a circle of life. The bible verse that says that Adam was created from dust almost proves evolution. We can see that even animals use adaptation to insure their survival. Why do religions insist that there was some over night miracle and poof there is man.? Obviously God is very patient and slow on most matters. How long has man been waiting to be saved? So, why do people believe that he would fast at anything else? By the way...I know 1 day is like a thousand years to God. Even more reason to believe that evolution was used.

Hate towards others..be it religions or atheists...

Each one thinks he is chosen by God/System.. to spread hatered in the name of Saving/pity/conversion

Have you experienced the Truth? Or has God given you a special decree to condemn others to hell..if they dont agree with you??

There is only one person in the Universe..whom I can save, whom I can change...whom I can reform...and That Is ME!!

Do you agree friends ?

It may be somewhat inconsiderate to say that you don't believe in such things, if this person is perhaps deriving some comfort from the possibility, as they approach the end of their life. On the other hand it may be difficult to be less than honest with them. I'd be interested to know how you dealt with it, if it's ever happened to you.

We ask what is the proof that Muhammad is a true messenger? You answer, it is written in the Qur’an. We ask how do we know the Qur’an is the word of God? You say, because Muhammad said so. This is logical fallacy, not proof.

Once you let yourself to be fooled, then you should be prepared to be fooled again and again because there is no end to foolishness. How many people would let a 54 year old man sleep with their 9 year old daughter? Such thing requires extreme foolishness.

She gets to call herself a "Cheaster Catholic," because mostly she's only in Church for Christmas and Easter now, although she was raised very very strictly Catholic.

I was raised Wiccan, and now I have the same sort of "fallen away" attitude about it as she has about Catholicism...so what can I call myself? A "Yuletaine Wiccan" just doesn't have the same pizzaz. Help me think of a nickname for my half-assed attitude.
