Not as many as were killed in the name of atheistic communism in the last one hundred. Atheists like Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot, and Mao Tseng apparently killed more people than all of the religious wars in history. Think about it.

Jesus said that there are going to be alot of people who kill on His name...and He does not OK that. And then there are also other religions doing the same thing. Jesus warned us about that. It is not Jesus' fault. The free will is the only way of love, some people just use it to do wrong. That is sad really.

Nobody knows for sure, since a lot of the murders in the name of religion were secret...but simply use the crusades and the WWII German Final Solution and you get well over 10 million...
It just gets worse from there.

And how many just for power and how many for wealth... The evil inside a man's heart leads to death not faith, religion is man made to accomplish recite of power and wealth... Jim

I think it's irrelevant. Those who kill in the name of religion are usually not truly following their religion. There have been Christians in the past who killed in the name of religion, but were they true Christians? not likely. we believe in love, and we don't believe in violence.

More than I can count. i think the more imperative questions is how many more are going to die now and in the future for the same things?

this does bring to mind korea, vietnam, iwo jima, japan. it doesn't take a religion to kill, just an idea. these deaths were even more intense, compact and wasteful
