Are we not all just trying to be responsible for ourselves, whatever means we use for that? Would it not be fair to say that despite all the arguments that groups of people can have, we all know that we are being consistent in our thinking so that we can continue to think without any contradictions? That's how I am. I have to know what I believe so I can know how to be and what to do. What I believe is part of how I see myself. Then I have to try to see the rest of the world; the parts that aren't me; all the stuff outside of me. I don't know about you, but I'm always having to work my way through all of this "non-me" stuff that I find in the world, hoping that sometimes my beliefs will will work as nicely in the world as they do inside of me. If I find some of my beliefs that don't hold very well with what I see in the world, I will need to figure out why I have those beliefs, now wouldn't I? I have to take responsibility for what I believe. Do you?

1) True that Muslims are not to use playing cards? What about cards that are NOT classic playing cards, kiddie cards like ones with fruits and animals on them? Friend says they are not allowed to touch these either even the kids. 2) True that they are never to listen to any kind of music and never supposed to dance (especially during Ramadan)? 3) Is it true that Muslims are not supposed to have their pictures taken? 4) Is it true that when viewing a movie a Muslim is not supposed to view any kind of affection between a man & woman, i.e. even a 4 second kiss fully clothed in a busy airport is considered to be pornographic and therefore they are not to look at it? 4) Is it true that Muslims are not supposed to keep any animals in the house? Not even a bird or a rabbit? 5) Is it true that the consensus of the Muslim community says that it’s OK to play violent video games but no playing cards? If you answer any of these questions can you please site your source? Thanks so much!

Sometimes we turn the dial on the radio to fast, and we hear only static, and become frustrared. If we turn the dial more slowly to search for music, at a slower approach, we located a station.

I considered how my experience of turning the radio is like listening for God. I desire to hear God's voive instead of the din of the world's static and noice.
Sometimes my life seems to move too quickly for that to happen. The more I practice being still in my daily life, the better I can discern God's voice among the distractions of the world.

Be still, and know that I am God.

One and only one full study was done to find out if Scientology was able to increase the intellecual ability and it showed absolutely no benefit in Math, reasoning, or any other thing that Scientology claims.
It has been proven fraudulent in as much as it is not possible to take their "personality test" and not NEED their "services".
If anyone reads Hubbard's fiction, he was slightly better than mediocre and announced that the ONLY way to make real money was to start a religion.
TA-DA!!
He made Dianetics and scientlogy! and no one caught on?

Please don't respond to the question below with biblical reasons. Divorce rates are so high, religion is a rediculous excuse.

Why is gay marriage illegal?

Is the only reason blatant prejudice?

Who I marry has not bearing on your life. Why do you care so much that you insist on making it illegal while your own religious reasons for marriage seem to have been rendered null and void by half of you that marry.

As far as I can tell, for most of human history people have believed in many gods - i.e. a population of deities, often characterised as male and female. Somewhere around the time of the Pharoahs, monotheistic religions started to become popular.

What was responsible for this change?

Next week is our "step up Sunday" at church and all the teens teach the Sunday school classes. I am teaching the 0-2 class. There are not many in this class. They are mostly around the age of 2. They love to do "hands on" things and love to be involved.

Just trying to get some ideas. I want to teach them something, but I want them to have alot of FUN doing it! =) Any ideas would be appreciated! =) Thanks
